Hmmmm, I really love 49 and Market, but neither of these lines are speaking to me. Charcoal is just not a color I think about crafting with, I guess.

I am reserving judgement on the Charcoal. Right now it looks to me like photocopies of scrapbook supplies. My money may be safe on this, but a friend texted me and said she things it will look amazing with Spectrum Gardenia, so there is that...
I like Kaleidoscope. I have some Mexico pictures that I might use for this. I don't need ALL the hummingbirds, but I will definitely get some of this. I just won't go hog wild like I have with some of the lines in the past.

I'll prob pick up the 6x8 Charcoal because I use a lot of gray. I love it as a neutral. But I have no need for the florals or butterflies for sure.

I'm relieved to say, that after going hog wild on Where to Next, I will be totally satisfied with picking just a few of my favorite pieces from Kaleidoscope. Charcoal not at all.

49 and market is one of my favorites, but to honest their lines are starting to look like >> "same stuff, different color(s)".
I love the Kaleidoscope, but already have similar items from some of their past collections. I will probably buy the word titles and a couple pieces of the paper.
I don't like the charcoal. In general, gray is not a color I like....too drab and depressing.

I love the newsprint paper that's b-side in kaleidoscope, and I like the ephemera pack and laser cuts...but yes, I agree, I feel like I already have a lot of similar papers and don't need more. The charcoal is opposite - I think I'd like a few of the pps as backgrounds, but I don't really like the ephemera.

I like Paper 4, the frames, and maybe the ephemera stackers from Charcoal, although I might need to see the ephemera in person, they kind of look like photocopies on my computer...
Kaleidoscope did not catch my wallet... which is good because I already have a lot of 49 and Market sitting in my stash I need to use.

I, too, own a LOT of 49 and Market already. I might get the charcoal paper to use as backgrounds or photo mats. I like some of the Kaleidoscope paper, but I definitely don't need it. We'll see if I'm still saying no when my LSS brings it in.

I love grey as a neutral so I will almost certainly pick up some of the Charcoal line.
Overall Kaleidoscope is not for me, although I may pick up one or two of the papers.

I’m a late comer to 49 and Market so I only have 2 of their collections. I do like Kaleidoscope and might buy some of that. Charcoal does nothing for me.

Love pretty much all of Kaleidoscope and will definitely be getting some a lot of that. I generally love neutrals, including grey, but the Charcoal line really doesn't speak to me at all and I cannot see a use for it on my pages. A lot of the neutrals I use are solid CS or just very subtle (like B-side) patterns and these are just too busy to be neutral for me.

Kaleidoscope is very pretty, but completely antithetical to my style of scrapping. I'm very tempted to pick up the paper pack for Charcoal, however - those would make some good backgrounds for pages with a lot of color on them.

I like 49th and market. I rarely buy “regular” pattern paper anymore (mostly subscribe to AE for my PL things) but I do pick up some of this brand at times. I would buy some of the charcoal- I love gray. The other one - if I was already buying something I’d pick a sheet of two of the ones that stood out to me but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it.

It appears the Color Watch - Charcoal collection is polarizing: either it's embraced as a neutral or automatically dismissed as "too drab & depressing."

I like the bright colors of Kaleidoscope. It feels like it would work great for a tropical vacation or a cruise or something. But I don’t need it.
I can see the Charcoal line being useful. But it’s not something I’m excited to preorder and scoop up. It’s something I’d grab a piece of here and there for a project if I saw it in person. Alas, I don’t have an LSS so that probably won’t happen.

I love pretty much all of the Charcoal collection and will probably get most of it! I'm a gray person and often use it instead of black so it's not such a stark and strong contrast. And that acetate pack... Kaleidoscope is pretty and I really like the hummingbirds-but I wouldn't use it. Nothing about it stands out enough for me to want it! Which is ok, cuz like many of you-I have a lot of 49 & Market to use!

I really like Kaleidoscope and preordered quite a bit of it to scrapbook a couple of tropical vacations that still need to be documented. The only thing I bought from the charcoal collection was the frames. I agree with scrappinwithoutpeas the papers seem too busy to be neutrals. Now that so many of you seem to love it I am going to go back and look at it more closely. LOL

Kaleidoscope - The solid papers are must-haves. I like a few of the hummingbird papers. I'll probably get some embellishments- either die cuts or laser cuts. I haven't decided yet.
Color Swatch - Charcoal = I like the papers- reminds me of Basic Grey Tuxedo paper. The only embellishment I like is the gray frames.

Thanks for your responses. While I appreciate the concept of the Color Swatch collection (& charcoal is my favorite neutral!), I don't gravitate toward the 49 & Market aesthetic (i.e. vintage/distressed, faux mixed media, feminine, floral, etc.) or embellishments (e.g. washi, epoxy, rub-ons, frames, acetate, florals). Nothing from this release is added to my wish list.

Oh I really like the hummingbirds in Kaleidoscope. That is something I would definitely use and the colors mesh well with a lot of products I already own.
