I use them all the time. It's a great value and I don't feel like I have to go to the efforts of figuring out ways to renew the sticky.

Nice, TFS! I use that same knockoff brand but just bought a 3-pack a few weeks ago, so I'll probably hold off...we'll see if I end up needing anything else. LOL

How funny! I just had my DD order me some new Nicapa mats last week and she found that deal! Thanks for posting for others, gramma . Having those on hand for less that $2 apiece makes one not worry so much about trying to resticky and clean them. Is resticky a word? Most definitely it is a word! Even if it isn’t in the dictionary. The meaning is clearly recognizable IMO. I have used and loved the Nicapa mats before. They are VERY sticky when they are first used, so I usually use my hands or a t-shirt to tone down the stickiness. I love that it’s a pack of 10! |

I used to use these all the time; however, the last time I used one, it almost broke my Cricut Maker. Because the Nicapa mats are slightly smaller than the Cricut mats, they don't line up perfectly with the guides that feed the mat into the machine. Mine must have been off a little, and it got jammed. It knocked one of the rubber rollers on the Maker out of alignment, and my husband had to help me manually move the roller into position. It still travels a little, so I have to keep pushing it back into place every so often. The moral of this story is be careful when using these. I don't think I'm going to buy them anymore.

riversong1963, I’m sorry you had issues with these mats. I use them in my Silhouette Cameo 3. I haven’t had any problems with them, but I don’t have the Cricut Maker. I looked to see if I had any Silhouette mats left from my Cameo 3, but I can’t find them. I’ve used the Nicapa mats for so long that I don’t know if I have any of the older Silhouette mats. I recently got the Cameo 4. It came with a newer Silhouette mat that is less thick, and it’s smoother than the Nicapa mats, but the Nicapa mats measure the exact same size on all four sides as the Silhouette mat does. I haven’t tried the Nicapa mats in my Cameo 4 yet. I personally prefer the thickness of the Nicapa mats. They aren’t as flimsy as the newer Cameo 4 mat.

I have been buying those in the 3 pack for years- I love them. Lately I have been cutting them up. One goes in my misting and the Teo off cuts become sticky mats for everything else - holding stamped images for coloring, stacking small die cuts, trying out titles on a page as its clear and gridded.

I still haven’t gotten mine. They were “delayed” and finally shipped on March 1. The carrier picked it up on March 5th. No updates in two days. Amazon is usually pretty good, but this has gotten ridiculous. I’m not in any hurry, but I am curious if anyone else ordered these and actually got them promptly. Or at least got them eventually. Anyone?

I have had a lost item show up before. In that case, it showed up 4 to 6 weeks later. The stupid thing is that it wouldn’t be a tiny package, so I keep hoping it will show up, but if it doesn’t, I want a replacement, not a refund. Unfortunately, they aren’t giving me that option. So I probably need to talk to Amazon help. |

I'll never buy the brand-name mats again. Yes, they are wonderful mats! The Silhouette mats are much thinner. I think that the firm surface of the Nicapa mats helps get a better cut. I’ve used them for awhile, but when I get going on projects, having multiple mats is easier. I don’t really need more mats, but that was such a good price, and I wanted extras for future use. I can afford to wait a bit and see if Amazon will get me a replacement, or if they eventually show up, because I know from past experience, that even the few packages that get lost may eventually show up. I think they won’t offer a replacement right now because that size in the ten pack is out of stock. |
