Hello Peas, welcome to the weekend once again. Hasn’t this month just flown? I can’t believe it’s already the last weekend in February!
Today I am looking at different blocked backgrounds. I have three sketches for you, and the backgrounds are divided into either halves, thirds, or quarters.

The twist is to change the proportions or style of each block. For example:
Halves - Divide the page into two blocks that are different widths; divide the page in half vertically instead of horizontally; use paint on one half of the page.
Thirds - Divide the page into three horizontal or vertical strips of varying widths; divide the page into three sections diagonally.
Quarters - change the four equal sized squares to four different size rectangles; change the squares from cardstock/paper to paint; divide the page into four diagonally.
Alternatively, you can change the size/number/orientation of photos as your twist.
For my layout, I have chosen to use a background divided into thirds. For the twist, I have divided the page diagonally instead of using vertical blocks. It's a scrap lift of a layout I saved from The Digital Press gallery. I can't link it as the site has since closed down.
If you are part of a team in Q1, you can claim 5 points for completing the challenge, and 2 points for the twist.
