Deduct $120,000 for the cleanup of the place.
I wouldn't even know where to begin.
There is so much trash I couldn't determine if the house "has good bones."
It is already a foreclosure--they might have to pay someone to take ownership of this one.

No access. Tons of trash, literally. No septic. A view is not even a consideration.
The only teeny tiny thing I see is the ceiling is interesting.

I think this one of those where you're buying the 35 acres of land. You just bulldoze the buildings and start over.

Thinking pets were not the first problem. 35 acres is a lot of property. Must build a road first!

The building is of no value. It’s just an expense to teardown.
That’s a lot of land in a decent area for pretty cheap but obviously a ton of work to be done. That’s only like 30 mins from SLO and 15 from Avila Beach.

The area the house is in is not a bad area. The house just needs to be torn down completely. It is a foreclosure and I wonder who did the damage, the previous owner or vagrants. That poor grand piano!

I have almost convinced myself to buy it and start an off-grid cult commune. This is absolutely perfect for that.
Then I'll kick them all out after my barns, outbuildings, and cabin are built and enjoy my 35 acres. I'll add bees and llamas and emus and chickens and maybe horses and definitely a cat sanctuary. I guess I better keep a few members around to help!
I think my plan is actually pretty do-able. I'll set myself up as a church to avoid taxes. Will definitely have to put up with FBI surveillance, but I'm ok with that.

I have so many questions.
But I agree, tear it down.

This sort of reminds me of a house my fiancé and I went to look at. I almost stepped on a pushpin that was facing sharp up. And the people were still living there!
I tend to look past a mess and at the bones of the property. But this house would be a no from me. A foreclosure is sold as is, and the bank will not clean it up. How people can do this just boggles my mind. I've moved countless times in my life, and always tried my best to leave the apartment in better shape than when I moved in.
