Weird weather day. There were thunderstorms this afternoon and it is getting warmer outside. I turned on the A/C as it was getting humid with the cooking that I'm doing.
I'm doing *Meals on Wheels* for ds & family. I have a Little Tikes wagon that I use to bring dinner to their car later today.
Chicken, mashed potatoes, spetzel, gravy, corn casserole, salad, cupcakes & cherry cheesecake.
I've been working on my quilt project and it is almost done. So many seams to nest together, but it looks very pretty. Picture to come in a few days.

Not sure on dinner. My cold makes. Me have no appetite. I’m super tired. So I just laid til I had to pick up Luke from daycare. Dd has late meetings and sil is traveling for work. Dd3 started her new job yesterday. She said another employee who also started yesterday showed up in leggings with a flannel and slippers. She was shocked by that. Dinner will probably be cereal. Hope your friend’s surgery is going well christine58We’re getting storms with possible tornadoes tonight. My office in the basement has a bed so I may just sleep down there. |

I just got home from work and looking forward to my day off tomorrow. No plans for tonight but to watch some reality shows we have on our DVR.
No cooking for me tonight. Hubby and I stopped at a small diner on the way home from work. I had breakfast for dinner, 2 OE eggs, bacon and a waffle. Hubby had a grilled cheese with tomato and french fries.

Well our pupper is a handful. I had a meeting this morning, stopped for some groceries and was starving. I bought hotdogs which I never buy anymore. Took one out and put it in the microwave and I hear a slurping sound. Sure enough front paws on the counter lapping at the package and juice. Oh that dog.
DH has been talking about steaks for days bro we will grill some tonight. Also baked potatoes and asparagus.

teddyw, I hope that you feel much better, quickly. May I ask what type of work your dd does? That someone showed up in pj's on their first day is jaw dropping. What is wrong w/people? I had a really happy event today. I drove through Starbucks and I got RAK'd. I have done that for other people, but it sure made my day when someone did it for me. I wanted to pay it fwd, but there wasn't anyone behind me, so they said I couldn't do so. Next time. Then I had a really good appt w/my cardiologist that was very reassuring. Nice to have good news now and then. My afternoon plans include being grateful!

I am finally home after 8 hours with my friend at the surgical area. Her surgery started at two although we were there at noon. She got done about 430 and I had to wait a couple hours before I could see her. She was in a lot of pain so they were giving her a nerve block. She’s allergic to a lot of painkillers and they’re going to move her to a room at some point tonight so something tells me she won’t be home tomorrow either dinner is frozen pizza at 8 o’clock at night.

christine58 , if she's in that much pain they might keep her a day or 2 longer in order to provide pain management. I'm sorry to hear that she's suffering. Marina , my sil has a goofy black lab. Her famous story is that sil left the last slice of a key lime pie on the counter. It was going to be her snack. She turned her back to grab a fork. When she got back the dog was licking her chops and had that goofy, bad dog look. LOL. Sweet doggie snarfed that whole slice w/in seconds. How do you not laugh, despite your disappointment that your snack is gone?

Dinner was another big salad with lots of beets and other stuff. So delicious, but I’m starting to think I may be sensitive to salad dressing or something. I’ll just leave it at that.  Thank you for posting the Big Salad YouTube, scrapmaven. Funny stuff. Tomorrow I’m taking the 14yo and his friend to their badminton game after school. It’s half an hour way and I’m not sure if I’m staying to watch or not. Need to talk to DS in the AM. |
