Drum roll.... Here it is... The last of our 29-4-29 challenges. I hope you have had fun with all the challenges this month and continue to play with them whenever you are looking for inspiration. Anyone is invited to play along and share your creations with us if you can.
#29 is the fifth language of love: gift giving. If you speak this love language to those close to you, you buy them gifts. You enjoy both searching for THE perfect gift that reflects your loved one's personality and randomly snapping up small tokens of your love wherever you may be. If you enjoy "hearing" this language spoken to you, you enjoy receiving gifts, especially those that show you how well the giver knows you and how much they care about your strengths and interests and needs.
For this challenge, scrap about a gift you gave or one you received. Or you can meet it simply by adding giftbox stickers &/or diecuts to your page. Have some fun, and plan a page with a photo popping out of a package. Or...create a layout AS a gift: maybe a shadow box or a wall hanging? If you are a cardmaker, create one that can contain a gift card--or maybe something larger? How about an Easter card with some candy eggs tucked in?
Most of all--have fun with this!
For the twist, the colour this week is BLACK. You don't need alot of it--simply mat a photo or add some small black stickers. I added some puffy black stickers, a couple of black tags and handwritten journaling in black ink.
Here is my LO for this, documenting a Christmas gift I received from my family--an opportunity to join them in a trip to see Cirque du Soliel. I am not really happy with this LO. It is one of those that looked so much better in my head. And this photo doesn't help. For some reason in this pic the background looks way brighter than it does IRL where it behaves itself more and stays in--well--the background. I will also be linking this to a Sketchy Saturday challenge from last quarter and to the Sharing thread. Hope you don't get tired of seeing it...
If you are a member of one of our teams, points for the completion bonus will be open for about a week (check out the RULES thread), but points for the challenges and twists are still up for grabs for the rest of this quarter.
