I'm looking for a dark crisp black dye ink.
I have Gina K Jet Black Amalgam ink which has been discontinued. I love this ink pad but it's starting to need re-inking. I love that its dark, crisp, drys instantly and does not stain my stamps.
I had the Gina K Obsidian Amalgam ink but it was awful. I could not get a clear image. It left tiny hair like marks on every image and it was a total pain to clean off my stamps. It was almost impossible to get out of the crevices of the stamp. I was so frustrated with it that I threw it away.
I also have the Versafine Onyx Black ink but since it's a pigment ink, it takes longer to dry. Unless I heat emboss over it, I usually smear it.
What black dye ink do you love?

I recently started using Stazon black. It dries quickly, I can use various mediums to color, it is great for fine details, and I'm reaching for it more often than my Versafine. I did find my pad to be a bit dry so I ordered the reinker and I'm happy as can be.

Momento, mainly because it doesn’t bleed when using my Copics.

I use VersaFine Onyx Black for sentiments and watercoloring. I think it gives the best crisp image.
For Copic coloring I mostly use Lawn Fawn Jet black. Occasionally I use Memento Tuxedo Black. I think the Memento is blacker, but the lid is hard to pull off. So the LF lives on my desk.
Am I the only one who doesn't like the GK Amalgam ink? I feel like it doesn't stamp well and is splotchy.

I exclusively scrapbook & use VersaFine Clair - Nocturne. Although not dye, it is a quick-drying, archival, pigment ink that yields saturated color, crisp words, detailed images, & is still embossable minutes later!

Team Tsukineko all the way -- VFC Nocturne for sentiments and watercoloring (same as someone above) and Memento Tuxedo Black for alcohol marker coloring (same as someone else above)!

I use Memento Tuxedo black, and VersaFine Onyx. I will also say that Catherine Pooler's black ink is amazing but I refuse to use it on clear stamps because it stains. That said, it's amazing with rubber stamps.

Echoing the Memento tuxedo and VersaFine onyx preferences. The Memento isn’t a super intense black, so I usually double stamp with my Tim Holtz platform. The Memento gives a very crisp image with no bleeding whatsoever.
For those using the VersaFine Clair nocturne, how does it compare to the VersaFine onyx?

VFC does not work with alcohol markers. There is a video on the Imagine Crafts blog comparing VF.and VFC. The formula is very similar IIRC. The VFC line was developed to add the brighter colors. Here: link
Or maybe here? link

I haven't tried Gina K's amalgam ink, but her Black Onyx dye ink is one of my favorite black ink pads.

I use Versafine Onyx Black. It works fine for what I do. Ardyth recommended a new-to-her ink on YT that she was excited about after having to change inks. Not sure if it stains stamps or anything like that but the listing says it’s fast drying dye ink. This video www.scrapbook.com/store/lhc-lhcip031.html
