Today is Super Tuesday. Did you get out and vote? Vote early? How were your lines?
I went to a new to me place to vote because I am in a different county than last time we voted. I waited about 45 minuets to vote. It wasn't so bad, but I was surprised that so many came out. It wasn't a 'peak' time either --- after lunch and well before dinner.
Just checking in to see how everything went for you and if you got to vote.

I love Californias system for voting by mail. We don't even have to use the Post Office to mail our ballots back. I dropped my in the drive up ballot drop box at city hall last week and was able to track that they got it and counted my vote within 2 days.

Even though one is closer by the PD station and Post Office, I like to use the one by City Hall.

I did. First time in person since the pandemic since I neglected to do mail in/eary voting. It is also our town meeting day so we are voting on school budgets and local issues. Very few people when I went but I purposely picked what I thought would be a low voting time. I work 2nd shift so I am lucky enough to be able go off hours during the day.

I dropped off my ballot at the ballot box in front of our local library last week. I love mail in voting!

I dropped my ballot at a drop off box today. It was at our library. They have manned help so they check that you have filled out the envelope and that you aren’t dropping off anyone else’s ballot - you can but if do you need to fill out more information in the envelope. There was a bit of traffic getting into the parking lot and I got lucky and got street parking. I was expecting a wait as there was one last time with no traffic. It was really easy. We can drop it in the mail but I prefer to drop it off at one of these sites. I usually do so early but it snuck up on me.

Our primary isn't until next Tuesday, and we have mail in voting. I drive by a ballot drop box two to four times a day, I just haven't filled my ballot out yet and dropped it in there...

I dont think MD had a vote? I haven't heard a peep!
I just looked it up, the primary is in May and the election is Nov 5. I guess we didn't have anything to vote on?

Lifelong California voter. I supposedly vote by mail, but tend to be disorganized, so the last few elections, I've just dropped it off at my voting location (nearby grade school) on Election Day. A very nice man brought the box to my car so I could drop it in. I waited till well after school got out so I wouldn't have to fight the school traffic.
Now I will spend the evening watching election coverage and eating chicken pot pie.

I went back and forth about which party primary to vote in. I would prefer Haley over Trump so thought about voting for her, but I ultimately decided that I couldn't for Republican. The thought of having to say that I wanted the R ballot was embarrassing and I just wasn't comfortable with it. I voted for Biden to show my support since I think there could be a large uncommitted movement here and I don't agree with that.

I voted in person, after work today.
No wait at all, around 6 pm.
Interestingly, not one “remember to vote” sign anywhere today.
I reminded my son, and he reminded his foreman. They left work an hour early to vote “on the clock.” I thought that was pretty cool of the foreman.

I just got back. Utah is stupid. It's a ridiculous caucus system. I chose to print out the absentee ballot and not stay there FOREVER to vote on delegates. We don't vote for a candidate. We take a poll. I had three options. I chose Nikki Haley
I'm a registered Republican because my state is gerrymandered. I try to vote out the crazies in the primaries and vote for a Democrat in the general election. It never works. Ugh. Don't tell me my vote matters in a presidential election! I live in a very red state. I only do this so I can bitch that at least I voted.

I voted early. Less than 30% of our county's eligible voters voted despite having 3 weeks of early voting and, if history is any guide, no lines at polling places on a beautiful day today. Sad. We have the governor's race to decide this year as well.

My son works for a small business and they all loaded up in their work trucks and went to vote together and then the boss bought them lunch. I thought that was pretty cool.

I voted early to get in a vote for Nikki Haley (aka against Trump) while I was still a registered Republican. Then I finally got around to switching my affiliation because it was an easy option when I got my DL renewed.

Looks like my county voted to raise our sales tax by 1% “for the fire stations” sigh. It’ll get spent on all sorts of other stuff and not fire stations and staffing. The big scare tactic was that our homeowners insurance would go up if it wasn’t passed because we have stations not manned. Well, um, mine ALREADY went up a shit ton and many insurance companies are no longer writing plans for Ca. Sooo? Glad I shop mostly out of county.
They also voted heavily in favor of tRUMP (I’m not surprised- I live in a very red area of CA)

Just saw this on Twitter from a local reporter in Utah. Trump - 57.1% Haley - 41.8% 66% reporting
Trump will likely win, but wow! I thought it would be much larger of a victory than that.

We need taxes for community stuff. It’s the mismanagement of the taxes collected that is my issue. We have a bond (or something) that is part of our property taxes for Delta College. We are 30 miles from Delta College. A satellite campus was promised over 30 years ago. There is no satellite campus. 😡. My county has decided that we will be paying more for water… by 2026 my water and sewer bill will DOUBLE what I pay now. Road fees, school fees, natural gas prices, water prices, thank god we have solar. There’s only so much increase we can take before it becomes unaffordable! Adding MORE tax just isn’t smart right now with all the other increases. AND the measure failed last time it was on the ballot this past November. 5825 Yes/4355 No. and voter apathy? 32% of registered voters actually voted.

My state hasn't held its primary yet and we don't have early voting. It is always disappointing that the outcome of the primary is usually determined by the time we get to vote.

Wow that’s pretty telling. More people are unhappy with him than you would think. Now if they refuse to vote for him come November that would be great. Gives you hope. Of course they are a smaller population state but every little bit.
