I WISH someone would do a summer camp line... checking in, group activities, cabins, bunks, councilors, cafeteria food, evening programs, etc.
It's not the same as the other camping stuff that's out there. My kids have never slept in tents or RVs for summer camp.
I know I could grab things from the camping stuff that is out there (bonfires, smores, trail walking, etc.) but it would be so much easier if someone would just do a whole line all in one place.
Just me daydreaming...

I would love a line like that for my memories of summer camp (I don't have photos so haven't attempted it yet with what is out there.)
Manufacturers need to get out of their same old theme, different year rut... like all soccer lines being black, lime green, and orange, don't they?

My son's soccer team wore orange/black/white jerseys for years, so I can always use those lines! Basketball is also always orange his uniform was blue; the colors are never right! I usually skip basketball themed lines for this reason. |

To be fair, I have noticed a few new "themes" coming out, so maybe there's hope!? LOL Maybe I'll find contact info for some of the manufacturers and shoot them an email... |

From all the American teen novels I read in the 80s it seemed like everyone went to summer camp  so I would've thought there would be a good market for summer camp themed supplies. Maybe with a retro spin for today's kids who love the late "1900s" and to document our own (well, your own) childhood experiences. |

I have been waiting for a kit on this...I want to make a mini album of all my favorite things from the 80s & 90s. What's been done never gets it quite right... I've had some luck finding pieces here and there from digital kits. But yes, a whole collection with the right colors would be awesome! OP - you are so right on the camping. It's like we need a bit less cliche with collections?! Traci Reed does have a Summer Camp kit, the colors are lighter but still same type of sentiment. She also has These Summer Nights which is brighter/bolder and more about the sky/stars, sitting around a bonfire. |
