fluff: Do you have a Tic Tock account?

I might have an account but I don’t use it. The music is so obnoxious and there’s no way to control it. I use Facebook and IG which is my happy place for golden retriever puppy videos, and artistic topics of all kinds.

Yep... I (mainly my kids) have posted a few videos.. all dog ones.. 

I used to be on it all the time.. such a time sucker... now it is just here and there.  Everything I watch is all fluff... 

I use FB a lot.. I have an Instagram but never use it really.  No Twitter.  

I was never a fan of videos but TT has changed my mind! it is my happy place too! 

Yes I have a TikTok account. I use it to find recipes and plant care tips for my indoor plants. I get fed a lot of mom content and I have pretty much watched the entire Eras tour from people’s clips.

I keep telling TikTok to not share my contacts and to not share my account but I do keep having people I know pop up on my FYP.

no they can't see you or find you if you go private.  I get suggestions of people who have me in their contact list and they themselves are public but I don't follow anyone I know. I don't want that intrusion lol. 

I don’t have an account, maybe it’s a generational thing, but I honestly have no desire for one.

no I don’t have either one also. My nephew who is in Homeland security and has pretty high clearance has always said to never get a TikTok account.

 No Tic Tock, no Facebook, and no X (formally known as twitter. 😆) accounts.  I do have an Instagram which I have never posted to, just needed an account to follow a friend who was traveling. And I still spend too much time online.  Hahaha.

TikTok - yes. I don't post videos, but I do spend a lot (too much) of time over there. I love the short form of the videos. Although the recent 50 parts series from ReesaTeesa was super intriguing (IYKYK)!

Twitter/X - No.

Instagram - Yes, but mostly for crafting and haven't posted in months.

Facebook - Yes, but I rarely post there. Mostly for following a handful of friends and family, plus a couple of Groups.

I have facebook / Instagram / Tiktok but have never posted a tiktok video and very rarely use it.

I was talking to my cousin once about social media and he said he had goodreads...which made me laugh. I send him messages on goodreads all the time now. LOL

I have them "all" and have had all of them for many years or in case of newer ones like TT, whenever they became popular (probably about 4-5 years on TT)

• I am on TT daily. I like and save daily; I post rarely---mostly just travel or dog videos once in a while (nothing with me in them).  I get a lot of my news from there.  This is BY FAR my favorite since Covid.
• I am on Facebook daily, and like people's posts daily and sometimes respond.  I post something once or twice a week and have since 2008 (used to post more).  I have family members and some friends who say they enjoy my updates--probably more when my kids were younger and more funny LOL, but they like that I post about what we are up to.  Might annoy some people. 
• My SILs and I use FB IM every day to chat.  Not sure why we do that instead of texting...just started years ago.
• I check out 2Peas daily.  I post the reading thread every week. I respond to something probably an average of 3 times a week.
• I have been on IG since its inception.  I check in occasionally and like things maybe once a week or less. I only post if my FB post automatically transfers it there as well.
• I used to post to Twitter for my classroom/work.  I do not since X/Musk.  I was never super big into it for any other purposes. 
• I check out Goodreads at least a couple of times a week and like
• Pinterest is hit or miss.  Depends on what I am doing. 
• I have Threads but don't go there
• I do check out Reddit occasionally.  
• Have Snapchat and don't currently use it.  
• Also, always on some sort of Sports Engine/TeamSnap, TeamReach depending on the activity season

I have TicTok, Facebook, and I deleted Twitter when Elon bought it.  And although I made these accounts, I have never posted anything to any of them. They are for reading/watching only.  

I was the first in my family and friends to get a home computer.  This was a few years before they were available in commercial stores.  I worked with a guy that repaired and serviced computers for businesses and together we built a computer for me.  I needed it to install my court reporting software to begin making my personal dictionary and then translate the notes I took.  It was several years before anyone I knew bought a computer and by that time, I was on my 3rd or 4th computer.

Because I was known for having a bit of computer experience well before anyone else, everyone assumed that I would be jumping on every social media platform that popped up.  I didn’t.  I was eventually talked into Facebook by a coworker who was moving away after just having her first child.  We were close and I wanted to watch the baby growing up.  She told me she posted to Facebook almost daily and if I wanted to see the baby, I should get an account. I did so, but reluctantly.  That ended up growing into adding just a few friends, family, and coworkers who all fell in love with Facebook posting.  I know I am in the extreme minority, but I just don’t like posting and putting up photos of my life. I have also never taken a single selfie.  I guess I am super private.  Or more accurately, super boring.  I would have nothing of interest to post on Facebook.  This site is the only site that I frequent and interact with people.

I have Facebook, Instagram (2 accounts), X, Snapchat, and TikTok. I never go on Snapchat anymore unless something big is going on somewhere in the world, and I want to see it from a citizens POV, and I don't go on TikTok much. What can I say, I do enjoy my social media.

Yes. I love TT. I started in March of '20 and never looked back.
