Happy Saturday peas! Time for a new sketch. I'll be playing with this tonight and will post my results. I was looking for a sketch with at least 2 photos and room for bigger photos or mis-matched photos (one big/one small). I was looking for a sketch with room for title, and room for journaling. I will likely make my title bigger, and journal on either upper or lower papers (whichever turns out to be legible) without a journaling card. I will struggle not to add a cluster coming down from the top left, or up from the bottom right. I'm even toying with turning the sketch sideways, but then the title would need to move... I feel like I'm going to start with 49th and market, because that ephemera will tuck and layer easily. sketch laura whitaker by kirstendrew, on Flickr

I have a bit of time before I head off for a swim, so I am going to start playing around with it now.

awesome sketch - and it should adapt easily to 8.5x11...I can see it as a card also though. Thanks!

Interesting sketch. The slanted line is one I struggle with when doing two pagers, but I want to see how this works for some of my story lines. Haven't printed the pic's yet, but the story of my dgs's hocky team who were losing every game in the fall and just knocked off the divisional champs might be just the story this works for. No flowers, though... Can't wait to see your take on this, kitbop. That huge cluster along the pp split looks MADE for you! And I know you will find tons of flowers to use for this, AussieMeg.

Took me longer than expected (family emergencies, I tell ya, disrupting my scrapbooking, should be outlawed!) But here's what I ended up with. Since I still wanted the "split" feel of the 2 photos in the sketch, I created 2 clusters above the photo to mimic that. Oh, and I reversed the angle of my paper strip to better fit the photo (otherwise I ended up covered up by paper!) layout brotherly compassion by kirstendrew, on Flickr

Here's my version - as part of a 2-page layout

Here ya go, kitbop. I was rooting around in my "Pets" bag of goodies and found the grid paper. Of course, having such a literal mind, I decided I HAD to take on this sketch with it. Had only one sheet, but figured out how to split it so that I could put together two pages. Grand pups by Gramma Dee, on Flickr
