Great pictures! I'm way behind because I was evacuated for nearly a week when you posted the pictures, just now saw the notification. Southfork and Salt fires evacuated 3 towns in my area.
Love the pictures, hope everything turns out fantastic!

Love the photos. So fun. And glad everyone is doing well. Surprised though they are scheduling her c-section for the first week of August. Wouldn't that put her at 33 weeks? They used to wait and schedule at 35 weeks. Hi, Patter-- I believe the date puts her at around 33.5 weeks. It's apparently how they do it these days. They must have revised it downward over the years based on outcomes--not sure, but that makes sense to me.

Hi! I'm back with an update. Monday, 7/8 will put my daughter at 29 weeks. Things are moving along now. I'm trying to get work things tied up as much as possible so I can take off if I get a call prior to the scheduled C-section date. As it stands, my husband and I are planning to take off about a week before the scheduled date and drive out there. That'll get us there a few days early so we can help out, plus knock out a bucket list item for me at a time in my life I didn't really expect to be able to do that. Obviously that's not a set-in-stone plan, just a possible plan if things go as scheduled. We'd be renting a car one-way and ditching it in San Diego not long after arriving as it won't be needed. We were asked to participate in a grandparents class that the hospital where they are delivering offers, so we stayed up late and completed that a week or two ago. It was a live class over Zoom that was held early evening California time but ended up close to midnight Knoxville time. Learned a couple interesting things. We were also required to get a TDAP vaccination, so we did that last weekend. Apparently a shingles vax is also recommended and I'd been procrastinating on that for a while so I got the first shot in that series at the same time--do not recommend getting those two vaccinations at the same time; last weekend was kind of a "lost weekend" because it took me down for a few days. But it's done. I think the only thing left is to update the COVID vaccine, which we will do toward the end of this week. My daughter and the babies are still doing very well. One baby has been diagnosed with a congenital heart issue but so far it's not a huge concern. My daughter's identical twin is a congenital heart disease patient--this particular issue diagnosed in one of the babies is something my CHD daughter has and was considered sort of the least of the concerns, so overall it's as good as news like this gets. They are going to do echos on all the babies as soon as they are born just to make sure everything is okay. Here's a photo from my daughter's maternity shoot, which took place maybe a week or two after the shower. Image 17 by Seanna., on Flickr What a little cutie. I'm so glad she is making time and space to do all the things she wants to do during her pregnancy. She is very aware that this is likely the only pregnancy she will have. So that's the update. Things are getting more medically intense now and my daughter is definitely feeling the "I'm pregnant with triplets" situation, but overall everything is going well.

Your dd is beautiful. This is such an exciting time for you both. Are they anticipating any bedrest in order to stall labor?
Tell us about the nursery? Have you seen it?

I was 33.5 weeks when I delivered my identical triplets. They wanted me to go longer but at 5 feet "tall," those girls had no room to grow. LOL! And sorry to read one has a CHD but I know both you and I have been there with our girls. Praying for continued smooth pregnancy.

Your dd is beautiful. This is such an exciting time for you both. Are they anticipating any bedrest in order to stall labor? Tell us about the nursery? Have you seen it? I have! It's adorable. They painted the room a sage-ish green and one wall has sort of off-white wallpaper above a chair rail with gold planets and stars. My daughter initially chose a similar but different wallpaper until she learned it was going to cost $2200 just for the wallpaper. Soooo she found another kind that is similar and it was about 15% of the original cost. Yikes, that's expensive wallpaper. Anyway, what they ended up with turned out adorable. They like the soft earthtones color palette, which has been fun to shop for. I believe my daughter has been given sort of standard advice to expect bedrest, and she was definitely told to slow down about a month ago, which she did. No fireworks shows this year, for example. The anticipation would be that if it's actual bedrest, it will more than likely be in the hospital. She is still working but only 1-2 days a week. I think most of her colleagues are male sailors, and they are all terrified of her because they are men and she is pregnant with triplets, so she can pretty much come in when she can/is able to. On doc visit days, that's all she can manage as it wipes her out. Just the ultrasound takes several hours and it's apparently all the ultrasound guy does that day--just hers. I'm sure there are lots of measurements/reports and other things they have to finish up after she leaves the office. I can't remember if I mentioned that they have had good friends from the TN area visiting, and one is a cardiology BSN. Yay! She's had a nurse with her 24/7 for the past several days. They've just been hanging out and relaxing, knowing this will be the last time they spend time together before the babies arrive.

She radiants love ❤️ So happy for you and your precious family. Aww, thank you so much. She is a very sweet girl. She is kind of borderline obsessed with getting her thank you notes out as soon as possible. This kind of situation usually takes everybody by surprise, even if fertility treatments were part of the run-up (not the case at all here, not that it matters), and I think she and her husband have handled it beautifully. After the initial shock, they just sort of made a plan and forged ahead.

The nursery sounds really cute. The babies will be so content in their new home. I love the stars and planets. I wonder how many of those sailors are fathers? Wonder if they fall all over themselves wondering how to take care of your dd when shes' in the office? Can you say deer in the headlights? That your dd is w/a nurse is very comforting, indeed.
When my youngest was in the NICU there was a set of triplets in that unit. They were so cute. I was in awe of their mama who always knew who was who. The NICU nurse told me that they were all going to be just fine and that it was normal to watch them and they just needed to grow a bit. It was so sweet to watch them, but at the time all I could think about was the parent's sleep schedule or should I say awake schedule.

You are awesome to take the grandparents class and get vaccinated. My neighbor, a really sweet guy, can't really understand how caring for newborns has changed in 40 years.
