After trying to figure out the whole mixed media thing on my own, I've decided I'd like to take an online course or two on how to mix colors and use supplies so things come out pretty and not muddy. I found Laura Horn, and I've taken her free class, and I may jump in and take either a mark-making or watercolor class from her. I'm interested in using whatever I make for cards and scrapbook layouts, but I mainly want to enjoy the process.
Do any of you creative Peas have recommendations for online classes I can take?

I have not watched any of these videos recently, but I really loved the in person class I was able to take a few years ago from Dyan Reavely. the creator of Dylusions. To avoid "mud" she recommended we use the colour wheel, and choose colours from only one side of it or even one quarter of it. That one piece of advice really helped me when playing with paints and inks. Dyan Reavely youtube videos

I don't know of classes but Vicki Boutin does Friday night lives on Youtube and works with mixed media a lot.

Vicki Boutin’s Friday night lives is a good start. No cost. Fast forward through the parts you are not interested in.

Thanks everyone for the YouTube recommendations! I have now subscribed to the recommended channels, so hopefully I will pick up some tips. I had forgotten all about Dyan Reavely--I like the tip about sticking to a few colors from the color wheel.
I'll look into the Hero Arts classes. I don't have many supplies from that company, but hopefully I would be able to substitute stencils and stamps from my stash. I wouldn't mind purchasing new paints and consumables.
