Shredded paper? Why would anyone pay for shredded paper? Some of it is $19.99. Buy a mini shredder and do it yourself.

Wow! I used to save all the crinkled shredded paper that Felicity Jane used as filler in their orders. It's come in handy over the years, and it was free!

So you use the shredded paper to make new paper?

I don't need to invest more money in another project I got excited about and then it ended up falling to the wayside

Might be interesting for some folks looking for a new project or hobby, but not for me. I have way too much paper as is, let alone making more. Thanks PaperAngel.

So is this where we are in the evolution of paper crafting? Back to crafting PAPER? I remember this trend from 20+ years ago. Loved the feel of the "handmade" papers we could purchase then. Loved how they tore and crinkled and layered, the depth they gave a layout.
But I have no desire to try to make it myself...

Agreed; the mini shredder is likely less than the cost of one package of black/white/kraft base shredded paper. Plus, as Margie points out, shredded paper is often already on hand. If not, it could be purchased in bulk at office supply or mailing stores for less.

So you use the shredded paper to make new paper? Oddly, there's no explanation just the image on the front of the Stationery Kit. Given the products offered, it appears you purchase a $50-60 starter kit (either 5x7 or 8.5 x 11 stationery) with the option of molds for shaped papers & use the black, white, or kraft shredded paper - plus dye/pigment, flakes, confetti, etc. additives, if desired - to make new paper.

I thought this might be a fun project, but like Night Owl this isn't one I am going to invest in because I am not sure that I would ever actually get around to using it. I love the look of handmade paper on cards, but I should probably just buy it. For as much as I would use, it would be less expensive in the long run.

We made handmade paper in my club once...it was fun , but not something I would enjoy making again. It would be a great way to use up all the white paper that I toss after making cards, but its just too much work and messy 😁. We used a blender to blend the paper so you still need that with this or are you getting a blended up paper and you just have to dump it in the water?

So you use the shredded paper to make new paper? When I used to make paper I saved up scraps of paper, sorted by color, then would trim into scraps (basically shredding it), then put if in the blender with water to make a slurry. I guess here they’re doing the first couple steps for you. At a very steep cost. 🤨

Nothing I need, and the price for the 3 oz of crimped paper is ridiculous.

No Ma’am! Making Paper — I can’t even handle the paper that I already own. Who thought this was a good idea?! The mess alone would cripple me.

I've made paper before (as a Girl Scout leader) and have less than zero desire to ever do that again.

My dd was trying to make paper last weekend, we ended up in the ER (she cut her finger on the blender.) Making paper [from other paper] is not high on my want to do list right now:P

I used to buy handmade papers at the Rubber Stamp Convention they used to have near me. I loved those papers. The ones with pressed flowers were my favorites. However I have no desire to make them myself. Is this how AC is recycling their unsold stuff?

Seeing this release makes me feel the same way I felt when I saw everyone wearing 90’s clothes again. It’s that “Oh. This is a thing again” thought that’s making me face the fact that I’m getting old 😆.

Thanks for your responses. Since I don't gravitate toward messy tasks, such as paper making, nothing is added to my wish list.
