Nope, no chance of cutting my cat's nails, but she climbs a lot of trees and does a lot of scratching outside to wear them down. But she can sense when I want to give her a flea treatment. That's my battle every month!

I have two cats who act like they're at a spa day when I cut their nails and brush them once weekly. I know, they're odd I also started with them when they were babies.

Oh I worry about his fangs too. This is him, and please note the look of "what the hell are you thinking messing with him?" on his brother's face. (and please forgive the laundry basket. They love to roll around in the clean clothes.) OMG! It's basement cat!

He could easily be basement cat. LOL He prefers the high ground-top of shelves, top of refrigerator, whatever-so he can swipe at you as you walk by. He hides behind things to jump out at you. You can't ever ignore him-he meows very LOUDLY and non-stop until you make eye contact with him. And God watch over you if you don't feed him fast enough. LOL I have a short hallway that leads into my bedroom. He frequent hangs out at the end, crouched and waiting. I just sent a picture of him to my son while he doing this with his eyes glowing with the caption "THOU SHALL NOT PASS!!"

DH now gloves up to hold our cat, while I cut her nails. It takes 2 people. No biting; just very squirmy and very vocal. So does giving any pills. OMG, we are covered in cat hair after that Plunger works eventually. Again, no biting. We tried pill pockets, but she ate the outside only. Flea treatments ... no reaction whatsoever.

I trim both cats' nails every couple of weeks. That way they are blunted off and can't snag anything they scratch on. They don't really dig it but they tolerate it fairly well. I usually get them when they are relaxed.

Hide the muzzle until you capture the cat. My daughters dog runs from her when he sees the brush come out. I keep telling her to capture him then get the brush....
I have a little 3 pounder that hates his nails cut and we tried all sizes and styles of dog muzzles and they didn't fit so we finally went to a cat muzzle and it works great.
good luck
