Same! I was literally the only girl I knew without a twitch of a crush when the original Top Gun came out. It's interesting how people's tastes are different, isn't it? I would have thought that Tom Cruise was universally accepted as good looking, and can't understand how people don't find him attractive. I think the same about Brad Pitt, and I know there are Peas who don't think he's attractive, either. (Are y'all BLIND?! hahahaha) When I was a teenager, pretty much all of my friends loved TC. I had one friend who was obsessed with RL, but the general consensus was that TC was better. Of course, that was before he went a bit nutso. Do I need to duck and cover before admitting Brad Pitt never did it for me either? I can look at him and acknowledge he was a conventionally good looking man. But I have only ever been attracted to him in that one scene in Thelma & Louise. Otherwise? Bland, but I understood why everyone was swooning. I never did understand that with Cruise. I always thought he was average but with a great smile. Until the crazy cult reveal and then I often doubted the sincerity of the smile. |

Do I need to duck and cover before admitting Brad Pitt never did it for me either? I can look at him and acknowledge he was a conventionally good looking man. I prefer dark haired men, so while Brad is good looking, I never went crazy for him either. |

I think Brad Pitt and Rob Lowe fall more in the same type of “pretty” good looks category. Tom Cruise is decent looking but not in the same way they are. And now that we all know he’s totally cuckoo it’s a huge turn off. |

I didn't meet a single person (man or woman) who didn't think TC was handsome (in the day.. 80s/90s). All my friends, even my dad, lol. Even a male friend I have now who has a man crush on him (although admits he is crazy but loves loves his acting) |
