What icons, in embellishments and paper, always end up in your cart?
For me: Vintage post cards (travel and beach lines- sometimes that is the only paper I buy in a whole collection.) Music notes Zeppelins (But not air balloons - I'm a Led Zeppelin nut) Black cats (Most cat icons are cutesy. Halloween black cat lines are the only ones that have realistic looking cats.) Deer Rabbits (I buy so many Easter papers and I don't scrap Easter much. I just have a weakness for rabbits. Everything is improved with a bunny.) Record players Guitars
If I see any of those, 99% of the time I buy them.
What icons immediately get your attention? Have you ever bought an embellishment pack because there were just a couple images in it you had to have? I'll admit to that- I bought a whole pack (at a discount, but still...) because it had a zeppelin.

I'm not sure about ALWAYS but squirrels, hedgehogs, deer (realistic), manatees always catch my eye and I definitely consider purchasing (ok - I've never NOT bought the manatee)

Cameras get me every time! Sunshines used to pull me in, so I bought a few stamps and dies that would fill that need so I don't have to buy a sticker sheet for one measly sun. I mean - a sun is a round item you can tuck in or layer and still know it's a sun no matter how much is showing. But I still adore any pp covered in suns.

Musical notes/vinyl records/cassette tapes or rock n roll/concert imagery (but not “school band” type stuff). I scrapbook the ticket stubs for concerts I’ve been to. There are a lot so when I see stuff that works I buy it. Some of my favorite layouts I’ve made have been these pages.
For a while I was buying roller skate icons but they’ve become somewhat common so don’t anymore. DW loves to roller skate and recently got her own pair of skates. I’m not fond of scrapbooking super themed but putting a roller skate onto those layouts feels good.

I find it really hard to resist a swan.
Are there any in my life? Any around me? Any within driving distance?
No (well, maybe if they migrate but even then I don't think they come near here).
Why?
I don't know.
I finally stopped buying every map paper. Still struggling not to buy taxis (again, why did I buy them in the first place?).

Both beach and outdoors icons...buffalo, canoes, paddles, (not kayaks) tropical flowers...I broke down and bought a whole pack of the Pinkfresh buffalo paper when I saw it as I never wanted to run out. 25 sheets, but gave one to a friend lol. I think I have 16 left?

I always buy woodgrain paper. It works so well for a majority of my photos (outdoors/men/boys/teens/beach vacations/mountain vacations), and the lighter woodgrain makes a great background.
I have a hard time saying no to butterflies, outdoor/nature collections, travel collections, alpha Thickers, masculine papers and embellishments... so many things! This is why my stash is out of control!

Also adding game controllers though as that’s all my son does so I have a lot of game achievement photos to scrap 😂

Realistic or cute forest creatures.
Also a corgi. I have an insane amount of corgi stickers. As one should.

+ Travel & map papers that are not vintage style + beachy & nautical paper & icons + woodgrain papers, especially the lighter shades + weirdly, I seem to be a sucker for citrus fruit or berries - I guess I just like the look of them

Hmmmm….I’ve accumulated quite a stack of wood grain papers. But I’m always drawn to geotags…I don’t know why, I don’t really GO anywhere 🤷♀️
Any paper or sticker with a poodle. And guitar or bowling or golf

Realistic looking cats, flowers, birds, butterflies and dragonflies. Llamas. When they were popular I bough a bunch. I just love them.

I'm still a 13yo gurl in my heart so I love rainbows, unicorns, and butterflies. Butterflies are my "thing," and I would say 90% of my layouts have a butterfly on them somewhere.

As a cardmaker, anything with a postal theme, dies, stamps - I have to have them. I love making cards with postage stamps or even a block of them.
As a scrapbooker, I need anything red, white and blue. I have family members who are military, and I just love the fourth of July.

Okay. My name is Dee and I have a GNOME addiction...
I also gravitate to cameras, sunshine & clouds, sport/action papers with arrows &/or stars, farm & garden icons, which all make some sense for what I scrap.
But tell me why I love those little FOXES?

I just laughed out loud, when I clicked on your link I was going "no no no, please don't let it be a jolly, twinkly Santa..." lol... When I was a kid my grandparents had a "live" one of those that was motion sensored and it chuckled and said something like "have you been good little child?" and I thought it said "I'm going to get you little child" and was terrified of it. It's left me with what some describe as the "clown terror" lol...even as an adult I shudder to see those Santas. I'm glad somebody likes them though and wasn't scarred! If I get anything like that in anything I buy, I will PM you and ship it your way!

... What icons immediately get your attention? ... In addition to stripes, plaids, & other classic patterns, I look for sparkles, asterisks, & stars on papers, stencils, stamps, & dies. ... Have you ever bought an embellishment pack because there were just a couple images in it you had to have? ... No; I usually skip embellishment packs due to themed icons & trite sentiments that I will never use.
