donna was a long time Pea who was taken from us long before her time. Her last scrapbooking effort had been to complete her kids' albums before time ran out. Many Peas, coordinated by jenjie and myboysnme , helped with that project. A Pea we have not heard from in a long while, kiwigirl , set up this challenge to keep DONNA's memory alive. So now we honour Donna's memory by getting our own photos into scrapbooks while WE have time to do that. Each month we set a challenge to get those photos glued onto pages. And we also have a theme Theme for this April DONNA challenge: What's Cookin'? I am cooking the family Easter meal today and hope to remember to snap some pic's of the food & or the people around the table, but to be honest I hardly ever remember to do that. But I do have some pic's taken at a local Seniors' Club as we cooked pancake supper in January, and I hope to get those pic's scrapped in the first few days of April.
As always, you can think specifically about the food: a recipe page, a pic of a gorgeous dessert or a perfectly browned turkey or a delicious looking plate at a fancy restaurant. OR, you can focus on the cooks (as my photos will). OR you can focus on what is happening lately: what plans are in place? A pic of a contemplative face would work well with this theme, journaling about what might be going on in that head.
Card makers should have an easy time with this one--many a birthday card has a cake on it, and there are lots of fun food puns to play with.
This challenge is open to anyone, but if you are a member of a challenge team looking for points: ONE point for EACH photo you scrap in April, 2024, no matter the theme. TEN points for meeting the April Donna theme on your project
Please have fun with this challenge and we would love to see what you come up with!

I am cooking the family Easter meal today and hope to remember to snap some pic's of the food & or the people around the table, but to be honest I hardly ever remember to do that. All of my friends, and DSO know, that they are not allowed to start eating when we go out for brunch / lunch / dinner, until I have taken photos of the food. This challenge is perfect for me..... I could make a whole album based on the "What's Cookin" theme!

Here is another What's Cookin' LO. I was even planning to use a foam "what's cookin'"? sticker from Simple Stories, but when I got to the finishing touches, I realized I had no logical place to pop it on! Cherish the traditions Love the cooks by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

Ooooh, Linda, that bread looks DELICIOUS! Too bad we can't send BREAD over the internet... I have heard you can find "breadcrumbs" there, but not actual bread... Thanks for playing along with this challenge!

Thank you for a challenge that is right up my alley grammadee! Here is my layout. I had planned to use these photos for this challenge, but hadn't chosen a page design yet. When I saw this week's Sketchy Saturday I realised it would be perfect.
