Data was compromised before 2019!
Why are the alarms just now ringing?
We were notified that our information was part of the breach. That was 5 years ago,or longer (unless I misunderstood what was in the information from ATT).
If things were compromised 5 years ago, I see very little I can do now.

NBC ArticleI haven't received anything from AT&T yet. From the article I read, I can't tell how long AT&T has been aware of the breach or if the info has been circulating 5 years or has been sitting dormant on someone's computer for that long. They would be able to date the breach as 5+ years based on the customers on the list and their info at the time. There is a lot of PII on the list - SSN, names, DOB, addresses, AT&T PIN, etc. ETA: Upon further reading, they've known about 2 weeks and think it came from a vendor's database.

Well, I already have a freeze on all three credit bureaus from the *last* data breech my info was exposed in a few months ago, so I guess I’m still good. 🙄
