Did anyone take the Simple Stories online course last month? It's the Fresh Air one. I'm thinking of signing up for the one in May - Just Beachy. You get the kit and then Jana Eubank teaches classes throughout the month of May. I love her style so I'm considering signing up. I love Jana too and I really miss her 12 x 12 layout videos. I've never had an interest in mini albums so I'm crossing my fingers for another month when it's more my style.

I just saw Jana's video about the Just Beachy course - she shows the kit contents and the layouts - there are 2 double and 4 single page layouts, the mini album, and the bonus project. The layouts are gorgeous! I'm not a mini album person, either, and that is holding me back, too. She said in her Fresh Air video that the courses will be done every other month, so the next one is July. I'm looking forward to seeing what she comes out with for the fall courses, I just love scrapbooking that time of year. |

That's a really good value...I priced the contents alone at approximately $150, so you would be getting the class for free. I really like the bright colors and beach theme in this collection, so I'm going to consider getting this. I'm already doing the SCT Spring Crop and Create, otherwise it would be a no-brainer.

I want to do these so badly but I don’t do mini books any more. They’re so cute but just not practical for me. I have way too many finished from events sitting empty hoping I’d use them somehow. 😭
I’d sign up regardless just for the layouts, but that is so much (too much) product for me to ever use.
Simple Stories, if you’re listening, I’d 100% take these access-only so I could just make the layouts! Or just sell a layout-only version of the kit (same layouts so Jana doesn’t do extra work to make that happen). I just can’t justify the extra product/album month after month.

I just got access to the FB group and so far the photo sizes are listed for the projects so we can print photos or placeholders, the supply list is there, as well as the kit contents/packing list. Jana seems very responsive and is active in the group. Not a lot of participants yet - I think it said 90 so far. |

I think I had several full sheets of paper and some off cuts, the rest of the sticker book plus some cardstock stickers and foam stickers. |

I also had enough left over to make 2 more layouts. While it was fun, I don't have a need for a mini album for every collection so I'm skipping the beach class. I may do the vintage or holiday one. |

She definitely mentioned changing out phrases and stickers to better match our pictures. I made a couple extra layouts by adding in cardstock from my stash. |

Vintage is July, September is Halloween and November is holiday, if I'm remembering right. She did send out a survey for future projects and fall is on it. Other possible themes were family, travel, Disney and she said she's open to suggestions. I'm definitely interested in a fall project and hope that is on for next year Halloween would be fun! I have years of Halloween photos and I've never scrapped any of them. I'm excited now. I hope I get a survey after the Just Beachy course, I'll definitely add Fall to it. |
