The number of times I've said "Alexa, turn on the lights" and she's responded with "Just so you know, {something inaudible}"
I've tried saying "say that again", "please repeat that" and I can't remember what else, and her response is always "There is nothing to repeat".
Yes I've Googled. No, I haven't got the Alexa App and I really, really don't want it.
The Peas know everything. This has got to be something simple! What words am I supposed to use so she'll understand?

She's the most extra female in our house. In my experience, when she start with a just so you know, she's usually telling me that I can set up a light schedule in the app. So maybe this is her sly way of getting you to get the app.

No way do I want a thing on my phone that listens to me and pipes up random rubbish whenever I say "extra" or "etc". I was watching Ghostbusters the other day with DH, and when they got slimed, I laughed and said "ooh green ectoplasm!" and she started talking.

My Alexa app doesn’t pipe out random sayings as the Amazon Echo can do sometimes. The app is quite but is very helpful to me when I am not home or when I need to view my shopping list. It’s a great app, IMO. When I want Alexa to repeat something, I just say “Alexa, repeat” - as mentioned, it doesn’t always work when she’s giving you a suggestion though.

I love it when she starts talking to the tv when it calls her.

I will agree that she is very helpful. I order from Amazon enough that she is great at letting me know when my ink is low or when I need to replenish many of my dog and bird supplies.

DH has notifications set up for her. They're usually saying something has been delivered, a weather alert, or that a price has changed. But again, I can never hear what it's about when she starts talking when I'm just leaving the room, or am on the phone, or the TV is on.

I have a 6pm weather notification that I’d just like to STOP, but I can’t seem to get there with her. lol
I’ve done everything I can think of in the APP, but can’t stop it. She keeps instructing me to go to App then Settings but won’t do it herself.
I can live with it but it’s just become annoying.
Help!

Open the Alexa app on your phone Tap on "More" on the bottom-right Select "Routines" Select Your Routines (at the top) Select the weather routine that is set for 6pm Select disable
