Thanks for the responses about the loss of taste, everyone. Funnily enough, as I was heating some more pumpkin soup for lunch, I realised that I could taste it ever so slightly. So I really only lost it fully for 24 hours! It's definitely not back to normal though. dinner was Campbell's tomato soup (made with half water/half milk) and bread with butter - simple comfort food That's your British genes coming through Linda! My lunch was very similar..... pumpkin soup with toast and butter. I usually make a fresh loaf of bread when I make soup, and have it hot with lashings of butter. But today, white packaged bread had to suffice. And now I am craving Campbell's tomato soup (made with half water/half milk..... or maybe even all milk) and bread with butter! I haven't had tinned tomato soup for years! Yum. Very much a comfort food.

christine58 , we also have a massage therapist that Cathy brings in for two days. I had a 90-minute massage on Friday night that was pure bliss. Have fun at your crop! cadoodlebug we used to have this as an option and I think it was 30 minutes. But the girl that was the massage Therapist hasn’t been able to attend the past couple of years because she’s been very ill with long-term Covid. She’s in a study actually at I think a big hospital in New York City. I’m drawing a blank on which one. But it would be great to find someone else that would want to do it

sueg, I'm sure that you can't wait to sleep in your own bed tmw night. I hope you can get good sleep tonight, though. I will be in my own bed tonight! The long overnight leg of the trip was Sydney - Dubai and I did get reasonable amount of sleep. Now we are home after the shorter (only 6.5 hours) leg from Dubai to Munich. First coffee (because airline coffee is horrible), then a shower and fresh clothes, then grocery shopping as there is no food in the house.

AussieMeg So sorry I missed that you got 'rona! I hope you're doing better. When DH had it, he only lost his sense of taste for about a day, so he really liked pineapple in those 24 hours because he could still have some sense of it. My grandma has it again right now for the 2nd time, and gave it to mom. So far, dad and I haven't had it (I also live 4 hours from my folks, so fortunately, no chance of her giving it to me). Like you, DH didn't want coffee for a bit (which is my telltale sign he's not feeling well, regardless of what's ailing him).
