My former SIL will turn 89 on June 27th. I, and her daughter, would love to have her showered with birthday cards on her big day.
She lives in a care facility now (Houston, Tx) and is in a wheelchair.
If you would be willing to send her a card, PM me for the address. My niece will gather the cards and deliver to her mom on her birthday.

Super idea. My mom turned 90 during covid, so I requested a card shower for her from family and friends and she got so many pretty cards. I didn't realize my friends and family were creatives, but she received some homemade cards and I definitley thought aobut the peas. It was a huge surprise to her and lifted her spirits greatly.

I spoke with my niece and she said cards were coming. She also told me that Pat has to have someone open the envelopes, which is shocking to me. I just can't imagine her not able to do that. I have not seen her in about 15 years, maybe 20....She still has a good sense of humor though per her daughter.

I mailed mine a couple weeks ago. I wrote her a short message, just a couple sentences wishing her a happy birthday and that I live near Philadelphia, PA, and I like the Phillies.

Her daughter is thinking of giving her a few each day for several days and thereby stretching out the days of making ger feel special and loved.
