Good morning.
We won. We won. It was a beautiful day and we had great seats. So, we could see everything. I had a bad case of "shiny object" while looking at all of the changes at the ball park. Admittedly, I'm tired today, because that was a big day for me, but I can't wait to do it, again. We might repeat this in May.
Today I'm going to help ods w/his taxes this am and then we're headed out to run an errand. After that, I'll come back and do something small that is enjoyable at home.
Dinner will likely be tarragon chicken and steamed rice w/a veggie.
What's on your menu?
What is everyone up to today?
Wishing everyone a happy, easy day!

Happy Thursday (Friday Eve)!
My mom took a fall last night as she was getting into bed and my dad had to call 911 to help her up. They got her into bed but she decided she needed to go to the ER so my sister took her. She landed on the arm that she fell on in December and strained. They've got her in a sling and luckily nothing was broken. She's so unsteady on her feet and they both use a walker around the house but she didn't use it to get into bed.
Tonight, I'm making a French Onion Chicken bake with rice. It's a new recipe, so I hope it turns out well.
Hope you all have a great day!

We won. We won. It was a beautiful day and we had great seats. I'm so glad you had a great time! Take it easy today so you can do more fun things in the near future. Did you ever pic out your furniture? I don't remember if you shared what you ended up picking. Tearisci I'm sorry about your mom. I still have not made that dish. And I think I just don't want to. I will check my meal plan for something else tonight. I'm just working on putting together boring ass spreadsheets today. No biggie. Good day to break at times and check in on the peas.

I'm glad you had a great time at the game scrapmaven! My mum LOVES baseball! She records Blue Jay's games to watch later if she isn't home when it is on. (I can't sit through 9 innings - torture! ) I took the day off work today because I bought a bunch of new light fixtures and I'm getting my handyman to install them today ... they will go above my kitchen table, in my spare bedroom and in my hallways ... I will post photos this weekend! I'm getting together with my girlfriend later for either lunch or dinner ... we haven't decided ...

I need to run errands this morning then I have a hair cut this afternoon. DH had a 7 AM tee time so he got up at 5:15. Luckily I fell back asleep and got up at 7:20. Tearisci sorry your mom fell. Dinner will be ribs. I love Ryan Reynolds and find these so funny!

scrapmaven - I’m glad you had a good night and that your team won. I have been slightly more active today. I walked up to the grocery stythis morning and now we’re set with food until the weekend. Since lunchtime I’ve been catching up on some knitting - I didn’t get much done at all while we were away. I found out yesterday that the needles in my travel project managed to get bent at some point - must have been late as I was knitting on my final flight - so I have had to order new sock needles. Dinner tonight is lemon chicken with rice and stir fry vegetables.

Hi all! Three beautiful days and back to tain and chilly. Still grateful. Today is my last real teaching day til July. I have presentations next week but that's light work. I have some prep to do for today as it us my last chance to have a conversation with my seniors before they go out into the world (or grad school), so I like to talk about building community for themselves, not just for/with clients. Many will relocate, or become members of different kinds of communities, or hold different positions in their existing communities, so it's a good conversation to have.
No idea about dinner. I'm guessing the baseball game will be rained out, and I teach this afternoon. I have leftover Polish sausages, and I've defrosted hamburger for burgers with bacon and fries. We also have stuff for chicken sandwiches and grilled cheese or breakfast for dinner. Nick can decide what he's in the mood for. He picks up his new inhaler today. He has several meeting so we'll see where his symptoms are. Still relieved we had some good/better news Tues, even though we still have some more steps to go.
Hope everyone has a great day!

Happy Thursday! Popping in quickly to say hi. It's been a crazy week here, and having DH underfoot for the past week hasn't helped. He has a shoulder injury (possibly a partially torn rotator cuff) so not only is he underfoot, but he's grumpy as all get out. All I've managed to do it read the thread.
Housekeeper day so I'm out to run errands after lunch. Absolutely no clue what dinner will be. Sending prayers and good wishes to all who need them. Hope to be back soon!

Tearisci - sorry about your mom, hope she is in no pain. Also, that bake sounds good and I don't care for onions. scrapmaven - glad your team won and you had a great time. We have some free tickets from buying groceries. We will try to hit a game at some point, but it's not on a to do list. I spent too much time there volunteering. jeremysgirl - rustic lighting is right up my ally! An old oil lamp light sounds perfect. Or old mason jars. I may or may not make spaghetti with meat sauce for dinner. I do need to get Italian bread or garlic knots if I do.

Tearisci I hope your mom recovers quickly. Falls are tough on the elderly. I'm glad she didn't break anything. scrapmaven glad you had fun at the park! I was up until 5 or 5:30 am. Between DH's snoring and my pain issues it was a tough night. I tried my air pods pro with white noise but they are too uncomfortable to sleep in. I got maybe 2-3 hours sleep. So I'm not sure what dinner will be. Herbed turkey breast possibly with pasta and roasted asparagus.

I have all four kids by myself tonight (my hubby is on shift) so dinner will be easy! Instant Pot macaroni & cheese and loaded baked potatoes. I will also grill some veggies from the garden.

Between DH's snoring and my pain issues it was a tough night. I was talking to my chiropractor about my pain and being unable to find a comfortable position. I told him I hate to take anything and he said to give myself permission when I am that uncomfortable. I have found Tylenol PM helps a lot. Remember the other day when I was talking about the fabulous Easter Egg hunt in our community? I talked to a friend who is on the committee and she said they scattered 10,000 eggs and her husband timed the hunt: about 1 minute 50 seconds until everyone of those suckers were picked up!

DH had a followup appointment with the heart surgeon today and he got a clean bill of health! His chest X-ray and ECG were perfect. His blood pressure in the office was high but we do it at home and it’s good. She has said to increase the blood pressure meds if we get high readings at home. So….no more appts with her, we hope to never see her again!
Not sure about supper yet.

Good morning! I have a busy day ahead. I put a roast in the crockpot first thing this morning. It has potatoes and carrots in with it. So dinner is covered. I am trying to get all my consignment stuff ready and tagged. The sale starts next week, I'll be working there 3 days. I also will be helping my very pregnant dil get her stuff into the building and put away. Today after work my friend is picking me up to go checkout a Facebook Marketplace find. Her birthday is this weekend so after we look at the item I am going to take her out for pie and give her a birthday present. I got her a copper spinny thing for her yard. I got it in Sedona while we were there. I probably paid too much for it since it was in Sedona but, she will love it. **GypsyGirl** I LOVE the pinecone light you linked. My son is building a house and I think those would look really nice on either side of the bed. I can't wait to show him!! scrapmaven Games are really fun to go to especially when your team wins!! cadoodlebug WOW, that was a lot of eggs!! I bet the kids had a ball gathering them up! taylortroop Yay, for a clean bill of health for your hubby!!

Went to my first ever chiropractor appointment today. I hurt my back watching Luke and couldn’t take it anymore. I know some chiropractors from the girls’s schools but I picked one close & on my insurance. I thought it was helpful but it felt like 1 big sales pitch. I’m returning Monday and will have his partner. They want both doctors to know you. He did cut off my heating pad use and no spinning or weight lifting. I also forgot we own a tens unit. So I could have been using that. Tonight we have tickets to Clue. It’s a comedy I guess. I haven’t heard a thing about it. We are going out to our favorite restaurant beforehand. I usually get whatever special they’re having. cadoodlebug that’s crazy how fast those went. Great news! taylortroop.

I woke up with my 2nd migraine in 3 days, so I took a sick day from work. I'm about to lay down for the 2nd nap of the day...pain has subsided a little and allowed me to eat some lunch. It feels sinus-related, but I made a doctor's appointment to get things checked out because this is just too many migraines in too short of a time. I used to get them only rarely but I've had more lately and need to see if something else is going on. Ugh!
No idea what dinner will be. We had duck with orange sauce last night (it was de-lish) but no leftovers. I know I'm not going to feel up to cooking so we'll see. Hope everyone is well. Going to take 3rd round of pain meds - this time with a decongestant and see if that makes any difference.

I tried my air pods pro with white noise but they are too uncomfortable to sleep in. I got maybe 2-3 hours sleep. I have a bluetooth eye mask. I wear it to bed each night and set it to play one podcast. I'm asleep by the end of it everytime. And I sleep all night with it on my face, no problem. This is the photo from your fav place! Amazon! Haha...I still shop at Amazon, but it's gotta be a situation where I literally can't seem to find something anywhere else. Your light fixture looks nice. I’m returning Monday and will have his partner. They want both doctors to know you. He did cut off my heating pad use and no spinning or weight lifting. Did he actually do an adjustment today? How does it feel now?

Scrapmaven...Glad your team won and you had a good time!!! The same cannot be said for my Red Sox 😳 Tearisci...sorry about your Mom...thank goodness she didn't break anything!! taylor troop...Glad to hear your DH got a clean bill of health!!! cadoodlebug...THAT is a LOT of eggs!!!! Birdhouse lady.. your dinner sounds delish!!!
Well, my errands landed me at the dealership with my car...which apparently has a "software" glitch. So it wouldn't start after my Costco stop....Multiple calls to roadside assistance and the tow company....and DH (who NEVER takes his phone with him) The car finally started after over an hour and I took it to my service rep. They ran diagnostics and need to figure out what the glitch is I was getting all kinds of warning info. So I have a loaner till they figure it all out. I did read DH the riot act (not the first time) He never remembers his phone and I told him he is lucky it was the car and Not me who was injured...So frustrating...just sayin....

dh and I have an online appt with tax accountant this afternoon.. we have most stuff done, but for the first time, I am filing a income tax return for my sister who gets ssi and has a special needs trust (K-1).. so I don't know how to do this and what I need to include as far as paperwork... hope to get some answers. dh is looking through the accounts to see where to get the funds to pay our taxes.. so much fun.
its a foggy day here. but not cold or drippy.
I made a new baked chicken last night.. lemon pepper chicken from Dinner (emojiheart) Mom..
left off the butter in recipe.. so it was no carb, low fat and very good. we are having left overs for dinner, with some pesto pasta, asparagus, sliced strawberries and maybe a sumo mandarin orange 1/2.
my son is giving up on his recruiting job.. it is not working out, they aren't given directions to him of what to do.. so he will probably go back to bartending and make more money. and do some online school. he likes to work and not just sit around.
hugs to all who need them..

Tearisci & ALL the rest of my friends here. I may be reading a little bit between the lines, but I was exactly there 4 times, and The Queen only weighed 98 lbs. If professionally trained First Responders want to take you to Hospital Emergency in their shiny red truck, allow them. They will further assess your illness and/or injury(ies). They will take you directly to the Emergency Room for immediate care. You, if you drive yourself, or your friend will take you to the Emergency Triage Center, where your injury will be compared to all the other critically ailing people already in the room. If the EMT's think the patient needs to go with them, and you don't think so, you are wrong.

I always like the shows better when it hasn’t been hyped up. Next month is the Tina Turner story. I don’t know anyone who’s seen it but I’m looking forward to it. jeremysgirl he did do an adjustment. It’s already feeling a little better. We’ll see if I can sleep. I haven’t slept well for days. Tearisci I hope your mom isn’t in too much pain.
