Losing a parent can put one into such an unusual frame of mind. Especially if they had been suffering in any way. You expect it to happen, of course, but when it actually does, the finality of it is so strange. No longer having that parental attachment and the person that has been there for you through so many of life’s events, both joyful and sad events feels unreal for a time. At least it did for me.
I am happy for you that you were able to be there at the end for her. And for yourself.

I'm so sorry for your loss! I'm glad your mom passed peacefully and that you and your family were able to be with her during her last days. I understand your mixed feelings of relief and also sadness. When my mom passed I was happy she was free from pain but sad for myself that I no longer had her with me on Earth. I still miss her terribly but the sadness has eased over time. Sending prayers for peace and comfort for you and your family.

It's a very surreal feeling isn't it? You don't want to lose your mom, but at the same time you don't want to see her suffer. You're starting a very sad journey, but you'll grow in ways you never expected, you'll find a new normal and joy will return in abundance. I wish you healing, peace and lots of love.
May your mother's memory be for a blessing to all who knew her.

I'm sorry for your mom's passing. But I'm happy for you that you could be there and know it was peaceful.
I wouldn't give anything for having my mama in our home for seven months before she passed. I am so at peace with how it all unfolded and that is such a gift. I hope you've found your own peace as well.
