How exciting for you!
I want to say how much I appreciate all of you grandmas to be for posting stories and photos and good news. My only son wont be having children so I live vicariously through watching your posts and seeing your grandbabies growing up. It’s funny. I struggled to get pregnant with my son with it finally happening after 9 years. I as just starting to try to come to terms with never having a child when I became pregnant. So when my son told me they do not want children, I was pretty experienced with accepting that type of news already. They are both only children who learned to grow up independently. So even if they are not mine, I get so much enjoyment out of watching families grow so I really love when you guys share your news here.

Thanks, you all!! It's so weird. I almost feel like I remember feeling when I first found out I was pregnant. LOL I remember feeling it was a bit unreal, and I would sometimes stop in the middle of something and think, "wow, I'm pregnant!" The past few days, I find myself stopping in that same way and thinking, "wow, I'm going to be a grandma!" LOL The hardest thing is not blabbing it to everyone. So many people I would tell, but she wants to tell them, and I get that. But dang. It's hard to keep quiet! She did tell my one good friend, who is her godmother, today. I'm glad about that because I am going to be with her Friday night at an event, and it would be so hard to not talk about it. It's a crazy busy week at work, one of our busiest of the whole year, so that is keeping me occupied. I will need to start looking for blanket patterns to crochet soon!  |
