As some of you already know ( and have so kindly donated) my daughter who has MS has been training for 18 months to run the marathon on Sunday. We are still struggling to get her to the 2k minimum she needs to take part 😩 If anyone would like to help even with a single $ it would help. If you don't want to/ can't donate could I please ask for your prayers and positive thoughts for Sunday? She's been given a bit of a bad starting location, which is adding on an extra 2 mile uphill so I'm really anxious for her. It's also being predicted Warner than we would like ( heat can trigger a relapse for her) Thank you for reading and thanks again to those lovely peas who donated last October x www.justgiving.com/fundraising/rachel-hadley6Sorry just realised you have to scroll down to the route video.

I'm sorry 😢 This is why Rachel is doing this now- she's always wanted to do it, and may not be well enough in the future. When I see her going out in the pouring rain, wind, whatever the crazy weather is doing here I'm so proud of her. She has also signed up for a mega marathon later in the year - I almost fainted when she told me that!

I thought those who have supported Rachel might be interested in watching this short video of the course route. I must admit I got tearful watching it- heaven help me tomorrow at the finish! www.tcslondonmarathon.com/the-event/the-course

I'm so sorry to all those that supported Rachel that I'm so late reporting back. literally on the way home in the tube I started to feel ill and almost 3 weeks later I'm only just starting to feel human again. It wasn't covid, but I felt much worse and have had a chest infection that has refused to respond to antibiotics. My asthma has also as a result been completely out of control 😩
However we all had the most wonderful day. She hurt her knee a third of the way in, so had to walk part of it, but finished in about 5 hrs. She was aiming for 4.5 but was just happy to finish! We were thrilled that we managed to see her at marker 19 and she saw us just at a point she was really struggling- she then ran the remaining miles after seeing us. Her Group raised an amazing £312,000.She raised just under £2.5k. I'm so grateful again for all the support she received here.
We've had one of the official photos turned into a canvas- it shows her running in front of Buckingham Palace.
She's now back in training for an Ultra marathon (31 miles) later this year, and has persuaded her youngest brother to do a 10k along the Thames with her later this year. So proud of her!

That’s awesome! I ran my first marathon in 2020 (right before Covid) thankfully and pretty sure it’s my one and only! Amazing that she hurt her knee and kept going. I’m back into running (ruptured my Achilles in late 2021) and I will probably be doing a half marathon in late this year or early next year.

Thanks everyone. Today I felt much better and was able to walk a couple of miles in the lovely sunshine we are having. You dint realise quite how ill you felt until you come out the other side! Need to catch up on all the neglected housework now 😩
I would live to show some photos, but I dint know how to do it here. I don't have any online photo accounts.
