The newest album drops in less than 10 hours and so far the hype has been crazy, at least on Twitter. I had hoped the 1pm countdown today was for merch, but it ended up just being a single cd. Have you pre-ordered? Physical cds/vinyl/tape or just digital? Any plans to celebrate? I picked these up from my local bakery - the one on the top right is the infamous Chai Cookie.

Oh wow, those cookies look good!
I enjoy the hysteria. I will probably pick up the Target version, but looking forward to all the hoopla. I am convinced there is a Rep TV clue somewhere, either in 2 weeks with the references to 5/3 or her birthday with the reference from the pop up in LA.
The 2pm reveal also had a video about some sort of hashtag challenge associated with the single Fortnight. Looks like it's going to be thru YouTube shorts.

I preordered from her site, and they always run late. I am probably going to try my luck at Target and some local record stores tomorrow.

I preordered from her site, and they always run late. I am probably going to try my luck at Target and some local record stores tomorrow. The Twitter-verse has posts from record stores stating that there will be surprises tomorrow that they absolutely cannot share. I'm hoping to finish my appointment and hit Target just to see when they open. I couldn't bring myself to spend the $10 ($1.99 + shipping) for the single after already pre-ordering the variants (got shipping notice today!!) and digital so I could listen to it when I wake up in the AM. I know IheartRadio is changing their name and will have Taylor only stations, so if you didn't want to pay, their app is free. Supposedly there was a leak last night, but my Twitter is filled with people saying they won't listen to it and to not give them attention because the algorithm picks it up. Some Amazon customers also have posted saying they received their pre-orders today... I'm okay with waiting one more day.

DD18 and I will be staying up tonight to listen.
I'm excited but also a little bummed that it's not likely that we will get Reputation TV before DD goes off to college. That is the one we have been waiting for, including plans to make a cake.

We stayed up for it last night and had a listening party.
We have the cd pre ordered but won’t likely be here for a few days. I was up until 2 am re-listening to a few songs and heard about the second half of the album drop, but haven’t listened to most of it yet. I’m still at work and am dragging pretty hard right now!

I really don't understand all the hype for TS , Her music sounds all the same & sorry to say there is nothing original about it because She writes about the same thing over & over .
She is talented & She has an Amazing PR team & She puts in the work but I think She is too structured & predictable you just know that most of Her songs are about attacking ' Ex Boyfriends ' & ' feuds ' with other celebs .

It is a small percentage. I will say it does feel like this album(s?) is more moody (and I have listened to like 1%, but just knowing the inspo and a breakdown from people mag which broke down topics about the songs), and I was kinda hoping for light summer hits...

If you cannot tell the difference between her songs, then it's obviously not for you. Each album has its own mood and feel. Midnights was completely different from Evermore. Evermore was different than Folklore, but similar. If you listen to 1989, it's not the same as Folklore or Evermore. She writes about her life. She writes about stories that interest her. I have zero doubt that if she still chooses to perform after she's had children, her songs will reflect that, too. Saying "all her songs is about ex boyfriends and feuds with celebs" is not an honest statement. I highly doubt you'd be interested in breaking down each of her albums though since you "don't understand the hype".

I read someone say something like "this is an album for the fans, not to bring new listeners to TS" and I agree. It's definitely not poppy bops. This is more like Folklore and Evermore, IMO. I think I'm on my 4th or 5th listen of the Anthology, but my standouts are: "My Boy Only Breaks his Favorite Toys", "Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?", "I Can Do It With a Broken Heart", "So High School", and "I Can Fix Him (No Really I Can)". I get that this album isn't for everyone. Similar to how "Lover" was not for everyone and "Reputation" was not...I'm enjoying it all though.

I have to be in a mellow mood - those are not my favorite albums of hers, although there are songs from each that I do enjoy. My #1 favorite of all time is Red, and it will always be so hard to top that one (for me)!!!!

It's just so hard when I've been listening to her since she dropped "Tim McGraw" as her first single. ^.^

I have listened through the whole thing. Right now ---- and I fully expect this to change --- this is not my favorite album release of hers. That said, I do like several of the songs. They just would not been in my top favorites of hers of all time, if that makes sense. I say this knowing I will probably grow to love most of them after I've heard them awhile.
Right now, I do like: Alchemy, So High School and I can do it with a broken heart.

I am a Folklore/Evermore girlie (those were the albums that brought me to Taylor Swift, because I wasn't drawn in by the pop albums and I was at the time not that big of a country person, even though I really love Red and Speak Now now). I'm enjoying listening to this. I wish the musical accompaniment were more layered -- it reminds me of Midnights in terms of the production and instrumentation. But I love the melodies and lyrics -- it's dark!

I don't know anything about what album is what but I like her, I like many of her songs, and I like that people get excited about her music. Good for her!
I've never bought any of her albums but I listen to her sometimes on Spotify. I don't even know the names to all the songs so forgive me if I get them wrong but I really love Love Story, You Belong To Me, and Blank Slate. And the one about Karma is a cat purring in my lap because it loves me.
I'm sure I'm forgetting several others but those ones always make me sing along!

I'm by far not a Swiftie but I'm really liking her darker music. I heard AntiHero and had no clue that was her. I just liked the dark synth.
I'm liking Fortnight quite a bit too but haven't listened to much more. She sounds a lot like Lana Del Rey on this song.
