Her music has always had cussing in it. She drops Fuck multiple times during the eras tour. Moms aren’t going to care now. Not true. I actually don’t remember if she cursed on tour, but I know there are clean versions out there and I know her mom has really pushed for her to keep things PG, due to her influence on young girls. I only remember it being used in All Too Well (fuck the patriarchy), Champagne Problems (fucked in the head) and of course Betty.

How can you say not true and then say I don’t remember? Yes, she says fuck multiple times on the tour IRL and once in the Disney version.

I'm a Swiftie, and now that my daughter is a fan, a Swiftie mom as well. There are some songs I don't put on the playlist I have for when my daughter (10 yrs old) is in the car with me, and some of them don't even have curse words on them. When I listen by myself, I prefer the explicit versions. I always like to hear the songs the way the artist intended for them to be heard.
I'm still processing the new album (31 songs!) but my initial response is that I love it. I only have one song I don't love so far, and another that I will probably skip when I'm listening in the future...but also, I need time for albums to kind of "settle" for me, and become part of the soundtrack of my life. My favorite TS songs are always changing, depending on what season of life I'm in.

I like the album as a whole and I’ve liked it more each time I’ve listened to it. But I know after the first little bit, I’m going to stop listening to the entire album at once (I am old school - I still mostly listen to complete albums vs playlists). Not that I don’t like it, but most of it just doesn’t resonate with my life - I’ve been with my husband since I was 24 (jfc, such a baby!!!!) so I’ve never been through an adult breakup. So I probably won’t keep going back to a lot of it, even though I like it. But I cannot stop listening to “So High School.” Such a bop and so happy. It has some Liz Phair vibes too, who’s one of my favorites.

I have heard more and I have changed my mind, I love it.
Question, do people buy CDs or just download the the music? I see Target has a clear vinyl, but I dont have a record player, I just want the music!

I have a small CD player as well, but I don’t use it as much. I bought a small record player stand that has room for maybe 35 albums for the living room, and the rest are in Kallax shelving in the media room. It has been a fun way to bond. So yes, I bought the TTPD vinyl.

That clear vinyl though... /sigh.

Swiftie mom here.. I was a little shocked (shock really isn't the word I'm looking for) but opened my ears after hearing multiple fucks in whatever song it was (I have heard the songs but haven't put a name to them yet). I really don't care. All my kids are of age at this point. It is what it is.. It's her music and I love it. And if those words are what she feels then by all means do what you have to do. If the younger kids are listening to the PG versions, go for it... it's up to their parents what they listen to or what they don't. She is over 30 and not specifically generating music to their level. If she was, just think of the ridicule she would get at this point in her career... Go Taylor!! PS My two girls went to the record store Friday night (was it Friday?) to sit in the snowstorm to get the VERY limited edition albums, they left the house at 3am to go about 50 miles to the one they thought they would have the best chance... They were 4th in line... They didn't get the one they wanted but did get the 2nd one they wanted. There was only 3 each. Then got some hand written note to go with it.
