Does anyone in Pea Land have a Lady Captain’s ring or a similar ring with a bezel setting? I am thinking about resetting the solitaire from my mom’s engagement ring as I would like something I can wear every day. My parents divorced a long time ago, so my mom gave me her ring over 20 years ago; she recently passed from Alzheimer’s, and I want to have a piece of her close to me.
Her ring was an offset style, with the solitaire itself sitting on top of the wedding band (which no longer exists). Because of the style, it can’t really be worn solo.

I googled lady captains ring and my wedding ring is like that. I like that it doesn’t snag on things.

Don't have one, but really like that style as I prefer more solid rather than delicate jewelry.

I have something similar. Mine is pressure mounted. Mine also had an added piece of platinum to help with stability. I like it because I can turn my hand down and see the side and underside of the diamond.

I had to Google it! I almost had my diamonds reset in a channel setting years ago. I’m glad I didn’t, but I could see this as a lovely setting and a more durable setting than the more traditional prong settings that I have. Like channel settings, this setting would really protect a center stone mounted higher than the rest of the band.

I don’t, but I really love the look of a bezel setting. I just ordered a ring with three different colored topaz gems bezel set.

Mine is a marquis in the center with a smaller marquis on each side and then some very small channel set diamonds. Nothing sticks out and I have only ever had one ring, never a wedding band. I really like it, going on 34 years!
