That’s what I’m doing today to make sure I have enough content. Closet, nightstand, kitchen cupboard, fridge contents. I’m having fun though and makes me wish I had photos of my childhood home like this.

I've taken 2 pictures so far today. I'm working 10-11 hour days right now and I'm not sure I can add documenting on to that. I might try to journal tonight and if I can't get to it, I may just skip this year. If you have days where you're busy, document what you're reading or watching on TV. I love looking back at those kinds of posts. Also podcasts, music in your playlist, anything really. It's the most boring mundane stuff we look at when we look at old photos. What's in your fridge? Take a photo of your medicine cabinet, your closet. Thanks for the encouragement! I got a good photo playing with my dog

I'm chugging along--road trip for work yesterday so I got some photos of the mountains that I normally wouldn't. I threw a #10 envelope in my bag to collect ephemera and that seems to be going well. I can't take photos at work on company property, but instead I take screenshots of stuff I do on my phone at lunch (checking in on the family WhatsApp, etc) and then today and tomorrow I will be leaving for lunch--Thursday is my carpool day with my husband and we have a standing lunch date, so that should be plenty. I did some office reorganizing on Monday so I can write about that and take a screenshot photo of what I use in my office, which is this: I haven't even looked at my photos yet. I have gotten an outfit-of-the-day photo each day so far. I decided to do a "flat lay" photo for each day but I figure I can set those up and do them this weekend when I'm not so busy with work. I wrote down 9 or 10 things for that--will pick 7. Tomorrow is a shindig for a house museum board I'm on, so I should have great photos for that including shots overlooking the city at sunset, and Sunday is a hair appointment, but those are the only two slightly out of the ordinary things left on the schedule this week that I know of.

I have the best dh. He knows I’m taking photos this week and I wanted one of him taking care of his plants. Walked into the sunroom to see him watering and told him to wait so I could grab my camera. Then I noticed he already had his phone set up on a tripod so he could capture the photo!

I am taking photos this week WITL-style but I don't create a separate album for them. A few years ago, I created a "All About [Name]" page for each of us with a few photos + some journaling for the week but most of the time, I just incorporate them into my regular family album and/or see what pages they might inspire me to make. Although I enjoy moment pages more than event pages, I tend to skew event since it's so much easier; the pictures I take for WITL inevitably get me to create more moment pages.

Well I'm a WITL dropout. I don't know why I thought this year would be different. I do have enough photos from Monday to do a day in the life so I think I'll just stick with that.

Last day push! I've been pretty good at capturing lots of photos but I know that I'll have some gaps from Wednesday (usually the day that I lose steam) but I had asked my kids to take photos of their days and I'm happy that they have humored me and sent a bunch of photos! So I'll add in some parts with their perspective which will be cool.

Wednesday was my gap day as well, mainly because it was a hard day at work (not in a lot of work way, but rather in a lot of chaos way). I'll probably take some filler pictures today to fill in. Yay for kids that humor documenters!!

I think I am officially finished. Today was a bit of a slow day but that's okay. I put my album together and put all the ephemera with it. I think I will at least edit the photos on lunch breaks at work this week, if not print them. I have an extra photo printer I can hook up to my hotspot and get them printed, I think. I'm afraid if I don't get that part done, I may lose steam.

Whew! I took a lot of pictures last week and it almost didnt feel right to not keep taking them today. I have to admit, I have zero idea what my next step should be to organize myself. I don’t have anything set up in my album.

I'm really surprised that there isn't more WITL buzz in the FB group (or here...) It seems like such a big project! I fully acknowledge that I'm going to have to stop dragging my feet into Instagram. I go there, but only when I'm really bored lol
Is anyone here taking Ali's WITL class this year? Is the classroom worth the money and time?
I'm doing this project (surprisingly) in earnest this year and I managed to crush photos and words. I'm currently putting together my print order. I want to have it submitted tomorrow, because that's when Persnickety's sale ends (I don't like print credits) and I was hoping to have a little more inspiration to make it a bit more creative.
DD is so creative and fun- this just doesn't seem- fun. More like in 50 First Dates, it feels like a "this is who were before you bumped your head" album. I'm just not feeling it so much. The funny part is my life is freaking fantastic, and I feel like the products just don't do it justice lol. I don't do well with a formula, and it seems like this project has a significant bent towards formulaic scrapbooking. Yep it's Monday. We had a Tuesday too! Rinse, Repeat.

I’m feeling the same way! I think I’m going to decide which photos to print as 6x8 and go from there. The formula approach isn’t making me happy, at all.

I’m another that doesn’t care about the formula. It’s just too…sterile…or uninspired for me. I plan more of a framework (is there a difference? Lol to me there is). I have a couple elements that are the same each day for consistency and because the products are designed that way so if you Bought some things like that it’s hard NOT to have that consistency. But I’ll mix up outside page protector, page protectors, number of pics and pages or enlargements for each day depending on what I have and what I feel like doing.

I’m doing mine this week. I had a hell of a workweek and was working so my pictures are minimal. I use the time page, gratitude page and -ing page for my journaling. My plan this week has been to take photos and do those. I think I take only a handful of photos a day. I have been trying to save screen shots too.
I think with this my album will come together. I for sure feel like I am doing lesss than years past. I think I’m ok with that because in the end I don’t think it takes many photos or words. But we will see when I go to finish the album. I may be cursing my does not give an F approach.

I am selecting one 6X8 per day. Last year was the first time I had pictures enlarged to that size, and I really love the way they look in the album. Otherwise, I am lacking in motivation. I think we'll see more on Instagram and on Ali's blog this coming week, so hopefully some energy will arise. My week was also more boring this year than it was last year...but I guess that's kind of the point with an "everyday" sort of project.

I’m waiting for my photos to arrive before I really get into the project - I find it hard to really be invested when I’m waiting to see what is worthy of enlarging and how I want to go about designing each story or page. I find the same thing with dd, as I order photos to be printed I have to really play the “wait and see what it looks like” game. Do I like the four pics I took of that one thing, or are three terrible so just one will do? Is this story, now I have time to reflect, something worth the limited space I have in my album or can it just go into pl for that week instead? I base my “formula” on my photos and try to find a common theme I can show for each day. I definitely do not document as much as other people - mine is more of a mini book in a 3x8 album rather than an actual album like dd etc. That way I finish it! I also wear the same clothes Mon-Fri so stories like outfit of the day are redundant for me 😂

I really like that your project looks so different from all the others I have seen. I'm glad I didn't get the kit this year because I have the freedom to pick and choose. I, too, am exhausted and keep reminding myself how much I'll enjoy looking back on this later on. I had major surgery on Thursday, so I'm slowly editing my photos and laying things out digitally. I like using physical embellishments, but I'll do that when I'm feeling better. It's good for me to see photos of me being active since right now it takes a lot of energy for me to get out of my chair. Thank you for sharing!

Also the pages with the days of the week and blocks of patterned paper is so eye catching. I can’t tell if you fringed the paper? But the texture look is great!

I printed monday and I’m already exhausted. lol. Love your album so far! This is my third year using Pinkfresh collections, stamps, and a few other bits from my stash. I haven’t seen much inspiration online for doing the project without the AE products so your album is refreshing! I do the project in a HS Storyline chapters type notebook, the smaller one that is about 5.25 x 7. I don’t have any more room in the album for another notebook after this year so I may have to figure something different out for next year as I don’t think the smaller albums are readily available anymore. I found mine on clearance at Joann a few years ago. I like that I get out of page protectors for this project because all my other projects are in albums and I like how little space my WITL takes up. Plus, I can make it as involved as I want or do it with minimal supplies while still using up pretty Pinkfresh stuff. This year I mainly used the Flower Market collection, which I love but would not be able to use a bunch of on one page in my other projects. For WITL, I usually give myself permission to just use ALL the pretty stuff. Plus, since it’s Spring and my weeks usually include me prepping, planting, or checking on my flower garden, I feel justified in using all the pretty florals in the spring collections! This year, I finished pretty quickly because I had a lot of other projects to work on and I knew I needed to get WITL finished before I could move on. Plus, my week started the day after I got back from a week-long vacation that I also want to make a mini album for so I was feeling overwhelmed and needed to simplify. I used the project life app to make 6x8 collages of photos, then resized them for my notebook, which allowed me to get photos down quickly. I did the journaling and some simple embellishing and called it done!

I’m so close to finishing but have a bit of design fatigue. I think I mentioned on another thread that I am using a different story kit theme as my “lens” for each day: Present, work, yes/no, comfort, good, go and celebrate.
Since I didn’t buy the kit this year I’m also relying a lot on digitals. Most I already had but I did pick up the Daily kit files. I really like that kit and kind of wish I had bought the physical kit.
At this point, all my photos are printed, most journaling done and lots of embellishing left to be done. Wish I wasn’t sick of looking at it!

I just saw thereypie on Ali’s IG stories and it kind of blew my mind. She shared her WITL pages, but grouped the pages that were alike, together. Like Monday-Sunday of her pocket pages, M-S of her half circle pages… I’m wondering if that’s how she worked on them? Is that how anyone else works on them? I have yet to start on my pages, haven’t even started editing photos. I seem to have a block, but I will have this whole holiday weekend free to play around. I may try working on one type of page for all the days to see if that helps.

I put my dividers in the album, I printed out one introductory 6X8 photo for each day, and I resized the Front Pages for each day. The rest is all improvised and not as organized. Maybe I'll try that next year. So far, I've only completed Mon, Tue, Wed. She batches her tasks with most of her scrapbooking--she does her Photoshop work first, prints everything out, and then brings it all to the table. It makes so much sense!

My first Persnickety order arrived today!! 94 12x12's that will be cut down to fit my 6x8 WITL. What is wild is this is only the first order. I'm sure there will be a second order to finish up. Somebody shared their completed album on FB that they put in a ringed notebook thingy (the name of the system escapes me!) She had some fabulous ideas, and I liked the way that she had a formula, but went off on the daily doing other things that fit her day when she wanted to. If it was one of you ladies, super nice!!
