So I bought a ticket to the Carnegie Hall concert for Follies in June and organized a trip to NYC around it. That is on Thursday -- I bought tickets on Wednesday to Outsiders and the Merrily we Roll Along shows for Wednesday. I can probably swing a Friday show without my husband threatening divorce, so am seeing if people have anything they have seen this year they loved -- I am thinking about the new Great Gatsby; Suffs; Lempicka; and Hell's Kitchen. Has anyone seen any of those shows, or anything else new on or off-broadway they'd recommend? If it's more than a year old, I've had a chance to see it and have either seen or rejected it, so I'm really looking at newer shows for this.

I saw "Water for Elephants" last Wednesday and while it isn't perfect, the circus artistry and puppetry are outstanding and I found myself really, really enjoying it.

We scored last minute tickets for Water for Elephants a couple weeks ago and really enjoyed it! We saw & Juliet over the summer and thought that was great as well!

Here’s my suggestion - go to the 1/2 ticket place (can’t remember the name) that morning and pick a show that you would normally not see. We did that last year and saw a wonderful show with top notch actors, with fantastic seats, and a unique story. For me there isn’t a bad show on Broadway, just some you might not heard of

Titanique!!!!!
I highly recommend this off Broadway show. It. Is. HILAROUS!!!
It's a musical spoof on Titanic, featuring soooo many Celine Dion songs, used to tell the "real" story of the characters in the movie, "hosted" by an actress portraying Celine, that is just the funniest ever!!
My son and I saw it last month, and it was seriously my favorite show ever, and I've seen many Broadway plays.
