How many contacts do you have on your phone?
I was reading an article about a woman that accidentally sent out a party invite to everyone in her contact list, 487 people. Some of the comments said that was too many. One person only had 20 people in their contact list, while another said they had 1,600.
I have 209, and some are people I don't even have contact with anymore. I do need to go through and weed some out.

I have about 115, but I think after the last update on iPhones (or the one before it), screwed up a bunch of my contacts and now I am seeing at least 10 that I have no idea who they are. And some other weird info that I never put in there.
A lot of those are probably some I don't even need anymore..

Who would have 1,600??? If using for business I can see that... but 1,600 phone 'friends'?

My issue is that my phone imported my kids’ contacts and now it is a mess. I have no idea what % actually are mine!

Less than 50, probably 15-20 are because I was in a soccer group text for DS and had to add them all so I'd know who was texting... they're all listed as kid's name mom/dad soccer. I don't think I know 487 people...

I have 77. I could call up every single one of them and have a conversation. I don't keep contacts I don't think I'll use.

Funny you should ask this, because just a little while ago I asked Duolingo to look in my contacts so I could find my kids, and a few friends, to add to my Duolingo friends. When I scrolled through the list I thought who the heck are all these people? lol. I guess it's everyone who's ever had any contact with me over however many years it's been since I had a smart phone. I need to go through it. lol eta: 478 of them. wow. I'm scrolling through and I see people from two churches ago, people from the first hospital where I worked and who I have no contact with now, teachers I've subbed for in the past who aren't even in the school system anymore, random people from the community who I interacted with occasionally for community events... now I'm deleting deleting deleting. lol

I have 1,330. Most are professional contacts - my personal list is probably more in the 250-300 range - but they are all people I actually know well enough to email. I use an app called Clay that helps me manage my contacts and it's a lifesaver.

Taking out the ones I somehow have in twice or more plus those I had for one occasion and haven’t needed since - around 100. Those I actually need to have? Maybe 30 😊

I had to look. I have 495 contacts. I think it reflects the fact that I have moved a couple of times since getting a smart phone so I have ‘there’ contacts and ‘here’ contacts. I could probably delete some as a result, but I have actually never thought about it.

To my surprise--801! Why? Belonging to church, a couple of organizations with lots of members and a huge family with lots of cousins.
ETA: After I saw how many, I deleted over 50 last night. I am going through and deleting some duplicates and people who have moved away and I believe I will never contact again.
I am shocked at how small the number is for some of our pea members. But, I think I have over 50 that are blood relatives, so they will stay in the phone.

98 - a good number of them are doctors offices, schools, and other businesses - that way I can tell who is calling/texting me. I do need to clean a few out. I also use my contacts as an address book so I have people with just physical addresses and no phone numbers that I send snail mail to.

167. Some I will never use again but I keep them in there so I'll know who it is in case they ever try to contact me again.

216 but some are business. I'm guessing that I have about 150 personal contacts.

I have 307 - a good portion is business related. There are quite a few that are for numbers I get regular texts from such as my commuter train with service alerts, websites that send security codes, etc.

My "contacts" are not "on" my phone but all in Google Contacts that I access with my phone through my Google account.
On my personal account 856 contacts.
I have several other Google accounts but most are based on a volunteer position and will be transferred to someone else when I move on. Those prob have 20-30ish contacts each.
I volunteer in a lot of different organizations and a main one for over 2 decades where we have a frequent rotation people that we interact with for short or long periods of time.
I also send over 100 Christmas cards and have a large family on both sides. I know too many people 🤪

923. I managed a group of theatre parents for several years, so I’d bet that’s half of them. But there are lots of other groups—church, other volunteer groups, English conversation groups, etc. I’d say that at least half of them are “groups”.

435. I also moved around, and these are numbers and email addresses from Asia, Australia, 2 churches, several voluntary groups, many choirs, 2 jobs, cancer groups and hospital contacts, house/garden maintenance over the years, and crafting friends from all over the world. But I discovered last night that I don't have the number of one of the members of my choir for 5 years.
