Good morning.
I woke up in the middle of the night to the fact that I likely have bronchitis. Blech. So, I'll do some breathing treatments and get over myself. We have a meeting this am and I'll see we can do it via Zoom. Then I'm scheduled for my 2 week Hoelter (heart test that you do at home) this afternoon. I'll call and see if I need to postpone. So much for having fun!
Dinner is whatever dh wants to make or take out dumplings.
What's on your menu?
What is everyone up to today?
Wishing the tribe a happy, lovely day!

Take care of yourself scrapmaven! I'm off to run errands. Dinner will be stuffed red bell peppers that I didn't do the other day. I have a friend who cut all her ex-DH's pictures out of their wedding album.

I had nothing planned for today, so I decided to have a fun day. I had a quick chat with my friend this morning, and also received a note from the friend who had asked me to do the book overview, apologising for the mess and saying she was glad we had ‘stick to your standards and beliefs’, and that ‘it might be good that we had to delay the AGM’, so I think there is some background here that I don’t know about.
I spent the morning printing off little photos on my sprocket printer and making some planner spreads about our trip to Australia. I finished our time in Melbourne and will do Sydney tomorrow. It was fun to play with photos and sparkly gel pens! I went for a walk after lunch in between rain and hail showers and am now getting some knitting time in.
Dinner tonight is a vegetable pasta back. The sauce is simmering and the pasta boiling, so nearly ready to bake. I love things like this that I can prepare in advance and not have to worry exactly what time DH will get home.

I am off to my 4 day crop. Today meals are on our own so my BFF and I will be setting up around noon (earliest we can be there) and then do a late lunch. scrapmaven. Bronchitis is nothing to mess with. Do you have an inhaler?? Nebulizer?? You might want to think about getting them.

scrapmaven I'm sorry you are unwell, you might want to be seen to rule out pneumonia. cadoodlebug my father was cut out of so many pictures from my childhood. I treasure the few I have post divorce. We planned out our garden and were only going to plant two tomato plants. My husband has over 5 out there and not even given much room. I have a feeling he will build yet another raised bed (we have 8 10' beds plus a square one for herbs though a tomato plant was stuck in there). 🙄 5 tomato plants is just too many... We are back to cooler weather. Not so great for my seeds and young plants. Tonight I will make chili.

I’m supposed to be off to a 4-day crop today, too, but so many complications have arisen, it’s not totally happening. Fortunately, it’s an easy 40-minute drive, so I can go back and forth when there’s time and not miss it entirely. It turns out I did gain five pounds over the past insane week, so dinner tonight is definitely salad. scrapmaven, you take care. ETA happy birthday, leannec!

Thank you ladies. christine58 I have inhalers and a nebulizer. This is nothing new and I know when to call for help. I'm already on antibiotics and if I do my breathing treatments and take it easy I'll be just fine. This is my norm, it just doesn't happen very often, anymore. teddyw , I'm sorry that your dh has developed acute asthma. Ick! I hope he feels better, soon. Predisone is nasty stuff, but it does the job. christine58 , have a great time at your crop. cadoodlebug , maybe I have to stay married, because I love my wedding photos. LOL. Marina , we have tomato palooza here. We also grow everything in raised beds and earth boxes. Dh was having problems w/his tomato plants, but we think they're coming back to life. We have 4 different types of tomatoes. If we didn't grow our sungolds the neighbors would throw us out of the neighborhood.
lucyg, you've had too much of a such-a-week. I do hope that you'll be able to go to at least some of your crop. Take care of yourself and ((((HUGS)))).

scrapmaven I hope you recover quickly! Bronchitis is no fun. I'm plugging along at work today feeling productive. End of the month is when all of the client optimizations happen for our reporting period at the beginning of the month. The reports have gotten a lot more detailed so it's taking extra optimizations so that we can report on progress. I've got some shrimp and kielbasa left from the other day so I think I will make foil packets along with corn and onions. I've looked up a few recipes but none I like, so I'll be winging it a bit. Hope you all have a great day!

We ate all the unstuffed pepper casserole from last night, well except one serving and SO took that for lunch. Not sure what dinner will be tonight! Temps are going up and we are expecting thunderstorms tomorrow, Saturday, and Sunday. Not a great weekend! We are thinking of building a raise garden to just put a couple of things in there. See how it goes. But that can't happen until after Mother's Day when the chance of frost is slim to none. Happiest of birthdays to you leannec!

We are thinking of building a raise garden to just put a couple of things in there. See how it goes. But that can't happen until after Mother's Day when the chance of frost is slim to none. Here in Germany, they talk of the 'Ice Saints' - 4 or 5 saints whose feast days fall from May 11 -15. You don't plant until after Eisheilligen, as that is supposed to be the frost limit.

leannec 🎂 ˚✰˚ ˛★* 。 ღ* °♥ ˚*˚ .ღ 。 ….HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU❣️….✰ ˚♥* ✰。˚ ˚ღ。* ˛˚ 。✰˚* ˚ scrapmaven I love "red cherry" tomatoes and use them year round in puttanesca and other recipes. One plant grows 5 feet tall and takes up at least 3 feet across. From two plants I would harvest huge bowls every day. He has several of those in plants and seeds. Plus some other varieties. We give them out every year too.

So excited! My bestie and I finally pulled the trigger and booked a cruise. We are doing a Canada/New England cruise with ports in Nova Scotia, PEI, New Brunswick and Newfoundland. Especially looking forward to Newfoundland. We sail in September. Only 154 days to go! Happy Birthday leannec! Supper tonight will be grilled chicken.

happy birthday leannec!!
in an unusual move, I skipped exercise class today. I was really sore yesterday and decided I need a rest day. I will pop on the rowing machine at home after lunch and take the dog on a long afternoon walk.
grey with some sun peaking out.
I have leftovers for dinner: chicken, salad and a mandarin orange. trying to make more progress on all my home tasks.

Thanks so much for the birthday wishes everyone! I have been so dead tired from working this week I've been MIA! I went to a dinner theatre with my dd's and mum last night ... sooo good! I'll post photos on the weekend ... My mum and I went to ... you guessed it ... Denny's this morning and I got my meal for free. I asked for cash as a gift so that I could order a personalized license plate ... I have wanted one forever and I finally ordered it today ... I think it will arrive in a couple of weeks. I am going to a Mexican restaurant tonight with my girlfriend ... it was on Diners, Drive-In's and Dives not long ago but we've been going there for years! I have "man plans" tomorrow night but I'll keep that to myself. I hope you feel better soon scrapmaven!

We're having one of my favorite things for dinner tonight: reservations! (a steakhouse we love) DD2 is in town this week and she spent yesterday hanging out with her best friend. Today we went out to lunch and poked our heads in and out of a few stores near where we ate. This morning I made the lemon raspberry bars she asked for. It was a very nice day and not over yet. Looking forward to dinner out with her, DH, & DS.
Gotta go!

leannec Happy Birthday! scrapmaven keeping my fingers crossed that you have a speedy recovery. christine58 enjoy your crop. cadoodlebug I can't count how many pictures my MIL has cut people out of. It's a running family joke. Today is our last nice day before it starts raining, again. I went to a local nursery and purchased a couple of plants to replace ones that didn't make it this winter. I enjoyed a long leisurely walk. DH came home and we planted 6 trees in the woods that he got for Earth Day from work. I am working on fixing pork chops for dinner.

Happy birthday to my *much* older friend leannec ! For some unknown reason, DSO had a hankering for KFC, so I stopped off for some when I went to pick up my son from his girlfriend's house. scrapmaven ugh, I'm sorry you have bronchitis. It sounds like you're right on top of the treatment, I hope you recover quickly.
