Hi everyone! Be prepared for a bombardment of my birthday photos! Being 57 feels just fine! Molly, Emma, my Mum and I went to a dinner theatre on Wednesday night that was awesome! 80's music theme which is right up my alley! The food was great too ... The next night my girlfriend and I went to a Mexican restaurant ... I had calamari with adobo sauce to dip it in ... soooooo good! Here we go! Sorry my photos are so large! Today I am just hanging about ... I have a date tonight! That is all I am going to say because my plans always fall through. Dinner depends on that situation ... What are your plans today? What is on your menu tonight? How is everyone feeling? Have a great Saturday everybody!

I’ve had a lovely day. I met with a few of our after school care team - other carers and a couple of the parent team that run everything. It was beautiful weather so we had an outside table and the food and company were great. Also was a good chance to practice my German as most of the others speak very little English. Since I’ve been home, we have done some work in the garden and watched football - good result for our team. DH did the grocery shopping while I was out and is now getting everything ready to cook. He’s doing chicken of some sort on the grill with a couple of salads.

Good morning leannec . What a fun birthday. You all look so happy. Happy Belated Birthday! I hope that your weekend is total fun. I really enjoy 80's music, too. Dinner theater is so much fun. How fortunate are you to have 3 generations of strong, pretty women at your birthday celebration.
sueg, your day sounds just lovely. I feel a bit peppier today. I'm going to sit at my puzzle. I can't sit in my office right now, because there is a love seat blocking the entrance as dh pulls out the carpet in the living room. As dh was pulling up the carpet he found evidence of termites. So, that has been added to our immediate to-do list. He can't proceed w/flooring and painting until we know if we need to be tented or otherwise. Not sure what dinner will be tonight. I might lobby for takeout. Thank you for having my back yesterday. I wasn't even remotely upset, but I was very touched by your support. We are a true tribe.

I am finally leaving the house for the final two days of my 4-day crop. No idea what we’re doing for dinner, but some kind of a restaurant meal, anyway. Off to check out yesterday’s thread to see what the hubbub was about.

leannec what fun celebrations! Great photos. scrapmaven ugh to termites. While we have tented our house before the last time we found termites they were able to do a different kind of localized spraying that wasn't so awful. We used Mighty Mite. destined2bmom thinking of you. Nothing too exciting today. DH was called in to work. Last night my 2nd mom had pain and went to the ER. Turns out it was gastritis. But a difficult night for her and my step-sister. Today we will have rechauffe chili.

Good afternoon! leannec I'm glad you had a nice birthday! I love when people share photos! Food. Faces. All of it! scrapmaven I'm glad to hear you feel peppier. But the termites? Ugh. I have never heard anyone I know say they have had termites. Is it our cold weather that keeps them away? Or is my circle just lucky? I know nothing about them. lucyg I'm glad to hear that you are finally making it out to your crop. You deserve a little relaxation and fun. Jeremy just told me I need to sit and read. He said absolutely no quilting because I'll just get mad at my dumb hand. I took the Tylenol with codeine last night because my hand hurts that bad. It was the first time I had used it. Knocked me out for 10 hours of sleeping with crazy dreams. He's making burgers tonight.

Just got back from a nice walk with DH. We had thunder/lightning/a little rain last night but today the blue sky is cloudless. leannec what fun birthday pictures! jeremysgirl , listen to Jeremy! scrapmaven , when we sold our last house they found a tiny patch under the house by the concrete steps that led up to the house. They had to tear that section of concrete out and redo the steps. $20,000 and the guy commented that it really didn't need to be done but the buyer insisted. I hope it's an easy fix for you. Dinner will be Jalapeno Chicken Poppers.

I’m sitting on the deck after doing 2 loads of laundry, vacuuming, vacuuming the dog and cleaning the bathroom. I’ve got a bowl of cheese popcorn, Diet Pepsi Zero Lime and my book. It’s a warm day with a light breeze - just perfect for relaxing.
Tonight DH and I are going out for supper with his sister and her new guy. This is her first relationship after leaving her husband and she wanted us to meet him and give our “approval”.

I went out to Walmart today to pick up some things that I needed and stopped at a plant nursery so my mom could pick some plants that she wanted. Now I'm just waiting on a delivery from lowes and if it gets cooler this afternoon I'll be repotting some of my plants. Not sure what we are having for dinner.

Happy Saturday!
I lazed around this morning and then went to get my hair done. I'm growing out my bangs for a style I sent my hairdresser so we'll see if I can handle the growing out part. I'm just ready for a change.
Dinner tonight is really "Linner" as I ate pretty early and am now hungry. I picked up a take-and-bake pizza next to the hair salon so that's what I'm having.
I may have a light dinner later at my sister's depending on how hungry I am later tonight.
Hope you all have a great day!

Great pictures leannec. I love multi day celebrations. I hope your date works out. Our patio still isn’t done. A guy came today and spread grass seed around the whole project. That is not what we want. I have landscape beds around it. He doesn’t speak English so we have to wait for the owner. I inventoried my 50 plus dahlia tubers. I have room for 18. So I’ll be adding beds and sharing them. Dinner is wings for dh and buffalo shrimp for me. I made salad, roasted cauliflower and watermelon to go with it. Tearisci I grow out my bangs every few years and then promptly get them cut back in. Went out to breakfast today 👎🏻 then to the library for some enamel books. I’ve been water coloring my mini pieces and really love it. Painting is much easier. Enameling it is an unpredictable result.

Lovely photos leannec! 57 looks good on you. I was home by myself for dinner, so I had a simple tortellini pesto pasta.

Dh and I went to the movies today while ds was at work. We saw The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, which is based on a true story- WWII related. It was very good and we enjoyed it. Our theatre now has VIP seating which is 2 or 3 seats together with "walls" on the sides and back. Each seat has a table, a hook for your coat and storage under the table. It was nice! DS' dinner plans fell through so we went to Longhorn for steak and shrimp. scrapmaven, I know you can stand up for yourself, but I wasnt having any mean girl shit on this thread! 😂 You could make the case that my reply was "mean girl" as well, I suppose
