Hi everyone! I'm posting early because I'm hitting Denny's for breakfast with my Mum soon ... I'm pretty hungry so I think a veggie omelette is in my future! So I went for a drink with this guy I met online yesterday ... we really got along, he's my age and everything looks good on paper but he's not interested in a relationship ... I don't need another FWB ... so we parted as friends I'm picky and I'm not desperate so no biggie! After breakfast I am picking up my girlfriend so that we can run a couple of errands and then we are coming back to my place to hang out for awhile ... My Mum is coming over after bingo for dinner ... I have a Hello Fresh delivery coming today so she can choose something from that This is what I posted on Facebook today ... I carry a huge hot pink Lululemon water bottle that I love but, of course, many of the students I encounter have Stanley cups these days ... water bottles are a big thing in schools! How is everyone feeling today? scrapmaven? jeremysgirl? What are your plans today? What is on your menu tonight? Have a relaxing Sunday everybody!

We had church this morning, but nothing else on the schedule. DH has gone into the office for a bit, as it’s a short week here this week and he was away half of last week. I am just putzing around the house and doing some knitting. Dinner tonight is going to be pork on the grill with salads. That time of year is starting where my dinner posts get a bit repetitive. We do change things up with different marinades and sauces, and different salads.

Happy Sunday! leannec every time you talk about breakfast at Denny's I chuckle because our annual trip to Vegas has at least one Denny's breakfast in it. I had a great day yesterday. Went to two soccer games for the two YGS's. Picked up a DGD and took her birthday shopping. Her biggest requests were a yardstick and calculator. She's eight. She said she wants to measure and calculate things. We then went to the gym. DGD's are here this morning for a few hours. Today is going to be lowkey. Dinner is going to be beef tips.

Dinner here is corn chowder with lots of bacon in it. Ds and I both enjoy it but I don’t make it unless I can buy fresh corn on the cob, which the grocery store started stocking a few weeks ago. I don’t know where it’s coming from but it’s delicious!
I’ve had Ally visiting all weekend. It’s so nice to just be Mimi and not part of her full time care team! This is the part of being a grandparent I always dreamed of.
It’s supposed to reach 70° here today but it’s cloudy. I’m working on embroidery which I’m enjoying. It’s so much easier than counted cross stitch which I used to do.

leannec I was totally thrown off when they shut the water fountains down at work because of COVID. They have a water bottle fill up though. So I bought a yeti. Enjoy spending time with Mom. stormsts I think I would love having such an interesting granddaughter. Jeremy's oldest daughter is graduating college today. I've decided not to go. My hand hurts and I've got to do laundry. I want to take some pain meds. Plus I can't fix my hair one handed. I look dumpy right now. My hand is kind of in a claw position. It can't open all the way and it can't close all the way. I'm wanting to talk. But this one handed typing is driving me insane. scrapmaven I owe you a PM response but I'm struggling. I'll have a reprise of Friday nights dinner. Most of the stuff is put together. I'll just have to cut and pan fry the tofu and cut a fresh avocado.

We had supper last night with DSIL and her new man. We really liked him. He seems very nice and he treats her well. She’s taking it slow and just wants to enjoy his company and not be focused on anything too serious. She seems happy which is what’s important to us.
Today is a rainy day and it looks like it will rain most of the day.
Tonight will be beef roast with mashed potatoes, turnip a veggie and salad.

jeremysgirl , don't worry about pm's. Just take care of your hand. Congratulations on the 10 day mark. Feel free to reward yourself. You're doing something hard, but it's gonna make your life so much better. leannec ,I'm feeling better today. Thank you for asking. Have fun today! taylortroop , I'm glad that the dinner went so well. If he's a nice guy and she's happy that's all that matters. stormsts , As many times in my life as I've been to Vegas I regret that I can't enjoy the food on the strip. All of those celebrity chefs have opened restaurants. We were in Lake Tahoe a couple weeks ago on the opening day of WOLF, Lisa Vanderpump"s newest restaurant and we had no idea. It's gorgeous and for those who know of her taste, it looks like her decor. Sadly, it looked sort of empty.
KelleeM , I'll be right over. Btwn your corn chowder and taylortroop 's roast beef I'd be so happy.
sueg , I'll be living vicariously through you when you eat your salads. Yummy. Enjoy your evening.

jeremysgirl congratulations on the 10 days of no smoking! Don't rush your hand. scrapmaven we do a Vegas trip every year with the same two couples. Neither couple is very outgoing when it comes to trying different restaurants. I told DH, this year we are offering some suggestions and if we want to try something new and they don't then we will go by ourselves. Life is too short and I an tired of staying quiet and just going along for the ride.

a grey day.. walked the dog, going to church.. I'm in choir and after a difficult dave brubeck piece last week (I'm the only one singing the high part and I'm an alto), we are singing an old favorite.. that is easy.
then, pick up meds, stop for some groceries..and work on mil's scrapbook and on the piles in the basement.
not much else.

Just got back from our morning walk. I want to finish the last photo friendship book for the gal who wasn't able to join us last weekend. I can deliver it when we head down to stay with DS the day before we leave on our trip. Less than 2 weeks! Congrats on the 10 days jeremysgirl ! Dinner will be grilled flank steak.

Hi friends.
Today's been a mostly lazy day compared to the past few.
I took Bess to the vet again on Friday, and they said no dry food for a while since she got sick a few more times. I think she's doing a little better today, but it still worries me since she's a senior cat.
Yesterday, we went to Costco in the morning, then to the movies, lunch, and grocery shopping in the afternoon. First time to the movies since 2020. DH even decided it was a hand-holding occasion since we didn't get snacks. 🥰
Dinner tonight will be fish, rice, and a veggie; and this week's dinner will be meatloaf and a veggie each night.

Hi all!
I cleaned a bit this morning and then had to go a few towns over to Buff City Soaps for a soap holder. I had some time before they opened up so I went to Shake Shack for lunch and then Central Market which our DFW peas will recognize. It's a bit like Whole Foods but owned by HEB. I love it and spent a lot of money even though I really didn't need any groceries haha.
Dinner tonight will be beer-braised sausages with onions, a pasta salad, and corn succotash. My parents are coming over so I'll spend the rest of the afternoon chilling and playing Dreamlight Valley. All in all, a nice Sunday.
Hope you all have a great day!

Can I ask for prayers for dh's family? His cousin left home 2 weeks ago and has not been seen or heard from since. He left with a person, but is no longer with that person and it is believed that someone who is not him is using his debit card. He is a lifelong drug addict and is in very poor health, but he is still someone's son, brother, father, uncle, and cousin. He has caused the family a lot of pain, but we want to know that he is found one way or another.

Home from my crop. OMG so much better of a place than where it’s been held in the past. We are at a fairly good size conference center. That’s attached, not physically, to Rochester Institute of technology. The beds were nicer and more comfortable, the food was out of this world. The scrapbooking area with our 6 foot tables was much bigger than we’ve ever had. I got quite a bit done. I would post some pictures. However, the album I was working on is for my great niece and her parents are not on social media at all and have asked us to not post pictures of her or her sister.

littlemama praying for DH's cousin. That must be so hard for the entire family. jeremysgirl you are amazing! Congrats on day 10! I'm all for water bottles and refill stations. I've seen little kids slurping the fountains, dogs as well. And if you have food allergies that just puts you at more risk. Today is truly a lazy day, reading, sleeping in and doing a few to do items. We took out Vietnamese food.

ended up with take out for dinner. took dog out to the coast and my kid walked him..
btw, have you all heard about the 4 zebras that escaped their transport in the middle of rural, mountainous washington state? there are videos out there .. and one is still on the loose.. Jumanji!!!

Praying for your dh’s cousin littlemama. Hopefully he turns up soon. Patio still isn’t done so our weekend plans changed. Thought I’d be implementing the landscaping plan I did plant some of the dahlias I started in the house in my raised garden beds. I went to the outdoor shopping mall and 2 greenhouses near it. Made a full meal of all the rechauffe in the fridge. I’m trying to be more mindful of food waste. Then we went to DQ to try the confetti dipped cone. Too sweet for me. scrapmaven I didn’t realize her new restaurant is up at Tahoe. I love it there. Congratulations jeremysgirl Hopefully your hand starts to have less pain. ntsf I missed the zebra story
