Another DOUBLE STUFF weekend is coming up: May 3rd through 6th!
We will be wiping the slate clean on our checklist of Q-2 challenges May 1st, so can again start earning points for meeting them--and double points if we do that during the DS weekend, but there's more...
The May Donna Challenge (worth 10 points to meet any day of the month) will be worth TWENTY points if completed during the DS weekend. And May's Donna challenge will be focusing on CRAFTING! So snap a pic of your scrap desk, or your yarn project in progress or completed, stock up on some crafty papers &/or supplies...
Next weekend also includes iNSD on Saturday, May 4th, so there should be lots of inspiration out there...
We already earn 10 points per hour for our crafting time, and that doubles to twenty points per hour if we are crafting along with others. During a Double Stuff Weekend, that doubles to TWENTY POINTS PER HOUR for crafting or organizing alone, and FORTY POINTS PER HOUR for crafting with others. And crafting along with a video or class counts as crafting with others.
There is already a Q-2 prompt to take on a challenge from a different site (challenge O-2), and to craft along with a tutorial (O-14), so those are worth TWO checks each if you do them over the DS weekend.
Special May DOUBLE STUFF weekend prompt: Earn FIVE points for completing challenge O-2 if you also include a link to the site from which you took the challenge!
Shakti and Linda , please remind the teams about the May DSW, and let me know if I am missing anything from our plans...

Here is my take on that Scrapbook Nerd card sketch I posted. Decided to turn it into a page

that's an awesome page grammadee - great idea to turn the card sketch into a layout!

Oh boy, I better get on it! I have a watercolor class to work on which counts as crafting with others... and I haven't even started my 2024 photo book, but I have a crochet project I can document for the Donna challenge. I placed an order at scrapbook dot com with their coupon code, so I'll have supplies for the Sheetload I want to do but not until later in the week... That's a great layout grammadee At first glance I thought it was an 8.5x11 sketch, so I'm looking forward to seeing what Linda does with it! It's got some fun energy for a sports page, but it could work with more of a patchwork/sewing feel too.

Thanks joblackford - I've added it to my list of sketches to work on this weekend - let's see if I get to it or not.

And another challenge from Scrapbook Nerd. To meet this one, meet the prompts on any line (horizontal, vertical, or diagonal)

I've just posted on the Q2 sharing thread my layout for the May 2024 scraplift challenge at The Lilypad. The challenge is to choose a layout from one of your favourite designers at The Lilypad, and scraplift it.

Question. I just made a 9x12 3x4 pockets page while watching a YT video of another scrapbooking. Do I earn double points for the layout since I follow the simple points rule (so 40 instead of 20) and then 40 points for scrapping an hour (and 3 min)?

Maybe. I can't remember if watching a video counts as "crafting with others".
Don't forget two points for making a thing (1 point doubled).

Question. I just made a 9x12 3x4 pockets page while watching a YT video of another scrapbooking. Do I earn double points for the layout since I follow the simple points rule (so 40 instead of 20) and then 40 points for scrapping an hour (and 3 min)? If you craft on your own any day this quarter, count it as 10 points per hour. Double Stuff Weekend, that’s 20 points per hour.
If you craft while watching the video any day this quarter, count it as 20 points per hour. If you do this any of the days of a Double Stuff Weekend, count it as 40 points per hour, and if you share the site you got the inspiration from, claim an extra 5 points.
For Double Stuff Weekends, give yourself the regular points for creating and sharing (if applicable), then count the checkmarks earned during these four days (any of the Q-2 challenges met), total your points (including Donna challenge for photos scrapped, any Sketchy Saturday sketch points) and then DOUBLE those points.
Hope that helps.
