This is for hose of you who use cleaning services. I missed my bi-weekly cleaning because we were out of town. Now I can’t be there for the next one so it will have been a month. My cleaning service is very trustworthy and their schedule is very booked up. I’m thinking of just leaving them a key. Would you have cleaners in your house if you weren’t home?

Yes, that is the way we always do it. I never stay. I like to be out of their way.

Literally will do anything to avoid being home when the cleaners are present, so yes!

Mine has the code to get in the front door. She used to have a key back when I had a regular lock. But she’s been with me for over 30 years, too.

I almost always take the dog and leave while the cleaners are there.

I use a big cleaning service, they send a different crew each time , so I stay home.

My cleaning lady has her own set of keys so she can get in when I'm at work ... I totally trust her!

Yes when we go away they come twice and we leave instructions what to do in the time they are there. They are living on a very tight budget and just bought a house and we cannot ethically leave them high and dry when we go away.

Best cleaners we ever had.

Ours has her own code to our keypad lock. She’s been with us for years. I generally take the dog who won’t be crated and go.

I'm rarely there when my cleaning person (it's actually 2 people - a married couple) is there. They have the code to my garage. We've had them for 21 years - I trust them implicitly.

I was very very rarely home when the cleaner would come (don't have one currently). I prefer it that way.

Most cleaning companies are bonded. It that would make you feel safer, you might ask if your company is.
I wouldn't leave really expensive jewlery out though.

My cleaner has a key to our mailbox. If I am not going to be home, I leave our spare key in there, so he can get in. We were recently away for 3 weeks over Easter, and his scheduled day was while we were gone, and it worked well. So nice to come home to a clean house!

I’m usually there when she first gets there, but leave with the dog to get out of her hair. But we’ve had her come when we’re away.

Thanks, everyone. I feel better. My friend and I use the same people and her husband won't let them come when they're away so DH is apprehensive. I think they're being paranoid.
