I just joined Rent the Runway and I’m kind of wondering what took me so long lol. One, you can send your order anywhere, so when I’m traveling for work, I can send the clothes directly to my destination and then ship them back at the end of the trip. It also is nice for having more fun, trendy items that I like but don’t really want to own because trendy. And great for having more dresses, etc for events - I attend a good number of dinners that aren’t formal but are dressy and it will be nice to have more dresses to wear without having to buy them.
If you’ve used RtR or a similar clothing rental service, do you have any tips for getting the most out of it? Are there times of the month or days of the week that tend to have the best availability or is it just random? Would love to learn from those who’ve BTDT.

I've used it for wedding season, but def have to plan ahead for that as things get picked over. When you make a selection they will offer you a close size and sometimes a similar item for a lower price, def take that option! Sometimes dress/designer sizes are different that normal size. I ordered a dress for a wedding and received it in 2 sizes then a different style. I ended up going with the different style, so I was thankful for the options.
I never thought about shipping it elsewhere, that's a good idea!
The best part is not having to get something cleaned or stored.

I never thought about shipping it elsewhere, that's a good idea! Right??? I'm so excited about that. I only use a carryon, so space is always at a premium. If I have an evening event and need to squeeze in a dress and shoes, it can get tight, and the dress always ends up wrinkled (not to mentions my blazers for daytime). I hate having to steam or iron in the hotel. The RtR bags are nice and roomy, so what I've received has been in great condition and not wrinkled at all.
