I don't have the Nood but I have the Braun IPL. It has worked for me very well. You use it once a week for 12 weeks and then once a month. I have always had hairy legs and if I wanted to have them look nice I had to shave every day. My armpits always seem to have a shadow even when I shaved every day. I also had a lot of facial hair. I haven't had to shave my armpits in months and no shadow.. I always seem to miss a few spots when doing my legs and I will notice a few long hairs but I don't have to shave or use the IPL often. It definitely has helped my face but I found out I had more white hairs than I realized. It doesn't work on light or white hair so blondes( natural) or redheads aren't to use it. All of this IPLs are expensive but I have had no regrets buying mine.
