We have had Xfinity for several years now and I've been happy with them. Recently my bill increased a lot. Then today I got notice that they have removed Bally Sports b/c they couldn't agree on a contract. This means no Braves. I'm local to Atlanta and should be able to watch our local team.
I have looked at Direct TV for cable. They have a decent package for a decent price for 2 years. But I still need internet. I only have 2 options. If I keep Xfinity and go with Direct TV for tv watching, I'm only saving $40 per month.
What are some other options for tv watching? So many different ones. We want to be able to watch local sports (Braves), SEC network for college football, and our fun channels (Hallmark and Lifetime for me and MeTV and motosport stuff for DH).

I believe Fubo has Bally Sports. We just switched from Hulu Live to Fubo so DH could get some additional sports channels he wanted and I think Bally was one of them.

My mil did just call me with a solution in the meantime. I can get the game on my computer or phone. Not ideal to watch with dh. But it'll work in the meantime.

You can use AirPlay on your computer to watch on your TV.

We use Fubo so we can watch Bally sports. We also got The MLB app free from T-Mobile, but they show local games after they are over. We support some out of market teams too, so we can see them live. We got Max for TBS sports. We are very happy with our combo.
My husband does his sports multiview with the Apple TV and he is very happy.

We have Direct TV streaming and the local sports station (Astros) is on there. Another option you might look at is the MLB app membership just for baseball season. Not sure how blackouts work on there.

Comcast/MLB/Bally need to figure something out.

Not sure how you would do that on a TV but I've successfully watched Astros games in other countries using a VPN and our Direct TV login.

I have YouTube TV but I don't know if it has the channels you need. I know it doesn't have Hallmark but it's cheaper than regular cable although the price keeps going up.

We had Fubo and could watch all the sports, but they just dumped Food Network and HGTV among other channels, so we're looking for something else also. DH is doing a trial of Hulu Live so that may be what we end up with.

We have the MLB app free from T-Mobile but, the Astros games are blacked out in all of Texas and parts for OK and NM. So I suspect that the Braves games would be blacked out for you. We resort to 'watching' the action live on our phones and/or listening to the local radio broadcast using Sirius.

As an Atlanta suburb resident and a life long Braves fan, I echo your question. I've been asking it since they changed. First the move to the other side of Atlanta from me and then Bally Sports. It's irritating. I haven't been able to watch a game since they switched because I don't have cable and I'd have to subscribe to yet another streaming service just for that. Jen

My mil sent me this app - thetvapp.to She is able to watch the Braves (and I'm guessing other teams) with no issues on her phone or computer. I pulled it up on Wed for their 3pm game and it worked well. I'll use this until I decide what to do. Fubo seems to be the better option for us at this time.

do you have an iPad or an iPhone? You can airplay it to your TV and watch it on a regular size screen. It’s easy to do with the app you just mentioned or anything that’s on your phone or iPad

Call Comcast/Xfinity and ask them to reduce your rate. I've had good luck with that.
I am getting a credit from Comcast for the months we don't have Bally Sports, so no Minnesota Twins. I don't care, but my parents are really sad. They are in a care facility and have no technology, so streaming won't work for them. When I stream, I connect an HDMI cable from my computer to my TV to watch.

I have You Tube Live TV and I have 2 Hallmark channels. They automatically came with my subscription. Although, I don’t have Lifetime and I enjoy MAFS.
