Good morning.
It's the start of a busy week ahead. It's lots of little stuff in order to get ready for termites, new room renovations and HVAC. BORING! We will go to a couple flooring stores today and Home Depot. First we have to do some wiring. Dh does the work. I stand there and pull the cable. I get the easy job.
I'm going to lobby for takeout tonight. I'm tired already and need to reserve energy for packing up the kitchen. I have just a little bit of energy and I have to budget it.
What's on your menu?
What is everyone up to today?
Wishing sueg, a scan w/good news. I'm thinking of you, sueg. Let's keep Sue in our thoughts and prayers.
Happy, easy day to all!

Happy Thursday (Friday eve!)
I'm plugging along with reports again today but it's going smoother thankfully. We've got until the 5th to get all of our reports done so that equals about 7-8 each day which is very doable.
Dinner tonight is a quiche I picked up at Central Market this weekend with some roasted potatoes and onions.
Hope you all have a great day!

I LOVE Central Market Tearisci. They have such fresh produce. I've been there twice and really wish we had one here.

Happy Thursday! It's a gloomy day with lots of thunderstorms but all the rain is going around us. Hopefully we will get a shower or two before the day is over. I still love a gloomy day now and then though. Going to do a Central Market run this morning then come home and do some sewing. I'm bored with breakfast and Tearisci 's quiche has inspired me. I'll pick up one of the small quiches and have that for breakfast tomorrow. The contractor is supposed to come this afternoon and put my bathroom cabinet back together and touch up the paint. This should be the end of this round of house repairs and gardening updates! Now I can turn my focus to planning a vacation. DH had the bone scan yesterday and is scheduled for a followup to discuss the findings on May 13. I have discovered that patience is the name of the game in the medical world, so I try to keep busy and not worry. Not sure what dinner will be but it will be something quick and easy from CM as it is housekeeper day. Hope everyone has a good day. ETA: I spoke too soon! The heavens have opened up, lots of thunder and heavy rain. My CM trip has been postponed until after the line of storms has passed.

Best wishes for sueg and for **GypsyGirl** 's DH. And for scrapmaven and Mr. Maven for the headache of having to tent their house. I'm running errands today. Dinner might be Chinese Chicken Salad. Tomorrow is the last day of warm weather, on Saturday the high will be in the 50's.

Good evening everyone. I was up early this morning and just showered and dressed and headed into the city to the clinic. There was only one other person in the waiting room when I got there and I think I only waited 10 minutes, which is pretty good for a walk-in clinic. The doctor I spoke to pretty much said the same as the oral surgeon I saw on Tuesday. He also wants a CT scan before he does anything, which is because of the risk that it is a vein or artery malformation, which means it would bleed badly if cut into it without clamping it off first. He said something about having to call the CT department, then went away for a bit, came back and told me they would call me, then 2 days after the scan I needed to come back to him to plan the treatment. At least I feel a bit better, as he doesn’t seem to have any sense that this is an urgent issue. After I was done, I walked into the city centre and had breakfast at one of my favourite cafes before coming home.
Today is vegetarian night for dinner. My original plans changed as we have so many leftover salad ingredients so I bought some halloumi cheese to grill.

Good morning!! I have never been to a Central Market Tearisci and scrapmaven. What part of the country has those? When I travel, I always look for a Trader Joes, they have some great items that I can put in my suitcase to bring home!! Dinner tonight is out with the Mister. We are celebrating our 38th wedding anniversary. That seems like such big number especially since I feel like I am in my 30's!! Hope everyone has a bright sun shiny day!! A special hello to quinmm14!!! Keep posting it is really fun around here!

When I travel, I always look for a Trader Joes, they have some great items that I can put in my suitcase to bring home!! They're part of HEB which I believe is a Texas chain. We are just finally getting HEB's in my area in DFW but for now, we have Central Market!

My meme today reminded me of the one time I wanted to cry after a haircut. My senior year I was in the sweetheart pageant at my school. My mom scheduled an appointment for a cut and style with a new stylist. He chopped my bangs off which I usually wore right above my eyebrows. He also teased my hair into a huge mess. Wish I had taken a picture. When I got home my sister took one look at me as I burst out crying. She combed it all out, put me in the tub so I could bathe and wash my hair. Then I had to set it on rollers and sit under the hairdryer for an hour and all the while she is feeding me some dinner because we were on a time crunch. God, I loved my sister. She always took care of me. Anyway, the haircut made me look like I was 14 instead of 18. I ended up being one of 6 semi-finalists so it all worked out in the end. The spring fling dance was right after the pageant so here's a picture with my senior year boyfriend.

I had a pedicure this morning. DH gave me a gift card awhile ago and I’m just getting around to using it. I love me a pedicure - my favourite part is the foot and leg massage.
Walker has two dog friends from the house that backs onto our backyard. Today his dog friend Moose was laying right by the fence. Walker walked up to the fence and peed right on Moose! What the heck!! Who pees on their friends??
Tonight we are having grilled steak.

Hi friends! Happy almost Friday!
I am happy to report that Miss Bess is eating like a horse. She got a cortisone shot yesterday at the vet, and we'll give her prednisone for a few months as well. I'm also getting her some prescription food after work today. What a queen. The vet tech mentioned that she was squirmy during her ultrasound, so she got some goop on her head. How she did that, I don't know.
My cardiologist's office had an opening today, so I jumped on that. I mentioned the irregular low and high heart rates I've noticed on my watch, so I'll have a 3-day CAM starting tomorrow. If nothing of note happens, then I'll go back in a year; otherwise, I'll schedule a follow-up. Seems pretty straightforward.
Tonight will be meatloaf, rice casserole, and DH's choice of veggie (brussels sprouts, peas, or green beans). And then hockey and/or more Peaky Blinders.
Hope you all have a great day!

taylortroop , I know that you were probably mortified, I'm LOL about Walker and Moose. What did you do? Did Moose even care? sueg , I'm relieved that that doctors are worried. The Birdhouse Lady , wishing the The Birdhouses a very Happy and Joyous Anniversary. Enjoy dinner. cadoodlebug , that's such a sweet story and I know how much you love and miss your sweet sister. You look very pretty in that photo. Your date was TALL!
rymeswithpurple , I'm so happy to hear that kitty is eating and doing better. Yippee. I'm on day 7 of a two week heart monitor. Woohoo! We can be ticker buddies. When yds was 3 or 4 I cut his hair myself. Then I took him to preschool. The preschool director who was so nice made me promise never to cut his hair, again. The bangs were cut a'la salad bowl, but the rest of the hair was layered. I didn't know to cut on an angle. If I had a photo i would post it, but I was too mortified at the time to take one.
quinmm14, welcome to our wonderful tribe. Pull up a chair and be prepared to discuss everything but dinner. It's nice to see you here.
BTW-dinner has changed. I'm gonna make tarragon chicken, wild rice and dh will have a salad.

Just finished with a busy day and now need to leave shortly for the DGD's choir concert and art show at school. cadoodlebug what a great picture! Happy Anniversary to The Birdhouse's! taylortroop I am still trying to find time to get a pedi. I am long overdue and it is driving me nuts. I agree it's all about the massage and hot towels. I will never forget when we went to our DD first grade meet the teacher night. They had you sit at your childs desk. Well, DH looked in it and pulled out a bunch of hair. The look on her teachers face was priceless. When we got home and asked her about it, she said one of the boys asked if he could cut a little off. It was in the back and we hadn't noticed it yet. Dinner is either rechauffe when we get home or we will stop and get something.

scrapmaven: I was definitely mortified! Moose didn’t care, he just got up and walked away. I called Walker to the deck and gave him a firm talking to about peeing on his friend. Thankfully Moose’s humans weren’t in the yard to see the shenanigans. How embarrassing that would have been! Happy Anniversary to the Birdhouses!

Nothing new on dh's cousin. He did not show up to withdraw his diasbility from the bank. The TBI has been in their small town investigating. General consensus among the family is that he is deceased. The goal is to find him and bring him home so his family can have some closure. We feel that he either OD'd or died naturally and the person he was with disposed if his body or that he was killed. We just need answers.

Happy 38th anniversary The Birdhouse Lady and The Birdhouse Man! Enjoy your dinner, and please report back tomorrow with what you ate. I made Thai chicken curry pies for dinner. I have used this recipe for years, but I cook the pies in my pie maker instead of the oven, so they're done in seven minutes. Soooo easy! Every time I use my pie maker, I wonder why I don't use it more often.

Are you having symptoms when your watch gives those results? If not your 3 day monitoring will be a much better indicator. cadoodlebug I love your picture. Happy Anniversary The Birdhouse LadyI had to lol at Walker peeing on his friend taylortroopCame to the lake to deal with stuff. Yellowjackets &ticks everywhere. So many that I had to get an exterminator. At home we’ve had ticks on us every night. Poppy takes simparica so they aren’t bothering her. I’m paranoid because my niece has Lyme’s disease They didn’t catch it early enough. My hair stylist’s first husband died from complications from it. Clearly not caught early either. He was 33. It’s so nice and peaceful here right now. No one playing loud music. Just birds. I planted a bunch of “deer resistant” plants today. We’ll see if they really are. So far I’ve had nachos & oranges for dinner.

littlemama, this is such a tragic situation. I hope that they find him, soon. His family deserves peace. taylortroop, I'm still lol. Walker is a pre-schooler. teddyw, the ticks would worry me, too. Hopefully, the exterminator will do the job and the ticks will be gone. Sil had Lymes, but her doctor caught it before any symptoms developed. After a few weeks of antibiotics, sil was fine. I know that it could have been so much worse.

scrapmaven Thank you! It warms my heart to see her eating like a little fool. We also had great success in hiding her prednisone in a pill pocket. A friend of mine suggested having her try one without it first, which I never would've thought of. I started wearing my monitor today, so we'll see how this goes. Fortunately, it's a stick-on one, so no robot wires for me. teddyw I think I'm used to it, so I really don't notice it when it's very high or very low (unless I'm watching a Capitals game, but I can't use that excuse now). When I was in a hit and run in March, I went to my primary care office to get checked out after to make sure I wasn't injured in a way not evident to me (no injuries at all), but the doctor I saw did mention my heart rate was always 100+ when they check me in. She said I should mention it to my cardiologist since I'm already set up with them for something unrelated. I tracked low, high, and resting heart rates starting that week, and did notice there were a few as low as 47 and high as 180. And I don't wear my watch when I'm sleeping, so I couldn't attribute the super low to that. I do have mild mitral valve prolapse, so that could be a factor, but best to be safe and see if there's anything more going on. I had bloodwork recently, and it didn't indicate anemia or anything with my thyroid.
