Happy Friday (Sat for Aussiemeg).
I have to start bagging up the meds/food, etc. Then this afternoon I'll relax. I told dh that I'd do the bagging that over the next few days, since he's busy working on the living room. I think dh will spend today outside, cause he has to trim bushes back for the tenting. We're gonna have to lose our beautiful, pink azaleas. That sucks.
Dinner will be chicken Florentine. What's on your menu?
What is everyone up to this weekend? I'll be prepping for Wed and I'm stuck on a video game battle.
sueg, you are in prayers, too. May your scan show something simple to treat and completely harmless.
Wishing everyone a relaxing, fun, happy and great weekend, ahead!

Happy Friday!
I'm keeping busy at work and doing laundry. I really just want to spend the day watching Netflix and playing my game but I'll have time this weekend thankfully.
Dinner will either be tacos or spaghetti unless I end up going out. We'll see how the day plays out.
Hope you all have a great day!

Our flower girl is getting married in 25 days and there is a picture from our wedding we may try to recreate at hers. 😂😂

I’ve had a lazy day today, in between the madness of Tuesday and yesterday and my upcoming busy weekend. I still haven’t heard from the CT people, so that’s a problem for next week now, which is fine for me. I’ve done a bit of prep work for tomorrow and chatted to my friend and my older DS. I’m looking forward to Sunday lunchtime, when first communion will be over - I love doing the classes and working with the kids, but it is a lot work over 6 months to do it all.
Dinner tonight is another ‘use up the leftovers’ meal. I bought a few different cold meats on Tuesday for charcuterie lunch Wednesday and of course, there was too much. So tonight will be home made pizza with 3 different meats and whatever other things are in the fridge.

Happy Anniversary littlemama ! Love the idea of the recreation of your picture with the flower girl. Today I have more errands including going to the bank to get tip money for the trip ~ $460 worth. The tour directors (2), bus drivers and city guides. They all do such an awesome job that we are happy to give them their tips. Dinner will be slow cooker Tomatillo pork ~ yum!

It’s a rainy day here - thus, a reading day! I picked up a new Danielle Steel book from the library yesterday and also “The Women” by Kristin Hannah. scrapmaven: I’ve got to admit that I’ve never heard of tenting a house. DH and I had a good discussion about it and I also goggled some photos. Wow! It’s quite the process. Today I’m booking our shore excursions for the cruise. We plan on going zip lining in Newfoundland! We are watching the weather for tomorrow because DH and a group of friends are supposed to do an ATV Poker run. It’s either a 70%chance of rain or 30% chance depending on which weather forecast you look at! Tonight is wraps made with leftover steak.

Maybe you could dig up your Azaleas and move them into a big pot or another area of the yard for a few days

Hi all! My grades are submitted so other than graduation next week I am done until July, yay!!!
We are good here. Nick's symptoms have almost disappeared. We've been going g to the grandson's baseball games when they haven't been rained out. Today I got most of my annuals for the deck. The garden center has a VIP Sale for those on the mailing list to shop their big sale a day early so I was up early to go and get back. 13 hanging baskets, mostly petunias in red, purple and pink. A couple flats of petunias, geraniums and marigolds for the whisky barrels that hold poles for our party lights. Nick plans to power wash everything this weekend, and maybe even get half of it painted. It's looking a little tired, so I'll be excited for a fresh coat of white. I am going to try swapping our outdoor furniture around so I hope it gets done soon.
Hope all of you are doing well. I try to read each day to stay caught up even if I can't post. Xoxo

And belated Happy Anniversary to The Birdhouse Lady and Mr. The Birdhouse Lady! There were no appealing jobs posted for today so I decided to stay home! I desperately need groceries so I will be going to the store shortly ... My mum is coming over later for dinner ... we will be having a Hello Fresh recipe of salmon something! The only plans I have this weekend is Speed Dating on Sunday night ... I'll discuss that further when I post on Sunday!

calgaryscrapper , thank you for your really good suggestion. Dh did find a way to keep them in place and cut back a bit. taylortroop , it's a PITA to get ready for these guys. Then we leave the house for a couple days while the poison is doing it's job. Dh will focus on protecting the garden and I'll focus on packing. Though he has to do the heavy lifting. littlemama , Happy Anniversary. Enjoy your delicious dinner. I love the idea of recreating the photo. You might even be able to ask the bride in advance if she wants to participate? Then and Now! sueg , I'm sure that First Communion will go very well. You'll be proud of your students and very glad to have that off of your shoulders, as well. tmarschall , it's so good to hear that Nick is doing so much better. Tearisci , do you watch The Circle on Netflix? I really enjoy it and the season just dropped. leannec , are you still watching?
leannec, speed dating sounds very interesting. It's a rapid fire way to see if a fella is worth a first date. Do they still have Singles Night at the Supermarket?

Happy Friday! Another gloomy day here, but the rain is supposed to be moved out by this evening. We've had just over an inch total, but the areas to the north and northeast of us have had so much and are now dealing with serious flooding. My only plans this afternoon are to make a run to the nursery for a new hydrangea and some supplies for our garden. Haven't decided what dinner will be, but lots of options in the fridge after shopping yesterday. Thank you. The PET scan and the bone scan show only the area of concern on his shoulder which is good news. The followup is set for May 13 so hopefully we will get all the answers then, as well as a plan of action. The waiting/limbo is the worst part of it all.

It's a slow day. I took today off work to get ready for the DGS's stay. With 4 boys in the house there is never enough groceries. Happy Anniversary littlemama. I love the idea of recreating the picture. Great to see you tmarschall. The DGD's did such a great job at their choral program last night. Tonight is a soccer game for the YDGS then we will bring the boys home with us. Dinner is probably going to be spaghetti. Have a wonderful Friday, everyone!

I'm really looking forward to Speed Dating! Online dating is just "meh!" right now ... No singles nights at any supermarkets here ... they should do that but it would probably be all young people! Tearisci , do you watch The Circle on Netflix? I really enjoy it and the season just dropped. leannec , are you still watching? No, I don't watch The Circle anymore ... not enough time!

littlemama Happy Anniversary ! I went out and had breakfast at IHOP with my sister then went and did a few errands. Later on today if it gets a little cooler I'm going to go work outside and put some solar yard lights that I bought and rearrange some of my plants that I repotted the other day. No idea what's for dinner. Depends on what hubby is craving.

Good morning, all (still morning here). cadoodlebug, I’m making your tomatillo pork today, too! Haven’t started it yet, though, because I left the house before 7:00 am and just got home now. So I won’t eat it till sometime over the weekend. Will share with friend/family, too. It’s a big pork roast. Happy anniversary to the littlemama family and also belatedly to The Birdhouse Lady and the mister. Glad to read good news about Mr. tmarschall and Mr. **GypsyGirl**. Good luck to your First Communion kids, sueg. UGH on the having to have your house tented, scrapmaven.

TGIF!
Put my heart monitor on this morning, so we'll see how this goes. I did already email my cardiologist this morning because I noticed this afternoon that the device that the monitor sends info to said the data storage has "about 1 hour of data on device." I was like...can you please confirm I didn't screw this up. They said it looked fine from their end, but will get in touch with their POC. If I don't hear back, all is well on their end as well.
I'll head to Kohl's to grab some blouses I ordered for conference tonight, Aldi for a pick up order, and then the other grocery store for a few things Aldi didn't have. They consider French fried onions a seasonal item, and Bess is going through wet food quickly, so I need to get her some more food.
DH and I may go to a baseball game tomorrow, but we'll see what the weather looks like. It's 74 here right now, but could only get up to 56 tomorrow.

**GypsyGirl** , does this mean that they found a malignancy, but in one small area? I'll continue to pray for your dh. Undetermined (by us reading the charts) at this point. There are references to cancer, as well as a lesion. One test number they referred to on the PET scan was high, but the notes said it could be on the high side of normal. The same number on this week's bone scan was a lower number. Hoping his oncologist moves that May 13 meeting up, but if not we will assume that means it isn't horrible news.

Waiting is agony, **GypsyGirl**. You could call the oncologist's office and ask to speak w/him. Perhaps you could get a reader's digest version of what's happening.

Dh bought a nice bottle of wine to celebrate the patio completion. In the meantime dd3 decided to come for the weekend. It’s her bff’s birthday. They’ll be having dinner here. So the wine is saved for another day. 24yo’s don’t appreciate it. At least not these 2. I’m grilling burgers. Beef for them salmon for me. I also made twice baked potatoes and fruit salad and guacamole. I also picked up cupcakes for the birthday girl. Happy Anniversay littlemama. I hope you get the picture.

Boy did I luck out! The bone-in pork shoulder for $1.97 a pound didn't have a bone in it. I think they cut one large one in two and the other person got the bone. It is finished and just staying warm in the slow cooker (the one I bought for $5 at a yard-sale last year!)

Ugh, now you play the waiting game **GypsyGirl** - I hope it's the "high side of normal" option. I know I've already said this littlemama , so again, Happy anniversary! I can't wait to see the recreated photo. Such fun! All I can say is TGIS!!! It's been a very busy week at work. A guy in another department has been away for two weeks. I am the only person in the company (apparently) who can do one particular part of his job. But my boss said no, you're not doing it, someone from his department (Logistics) will have to be trained. The guy who was trained palmed off the work to me and another guy, in an amazing act of weaponised incompetence. Or maybe it was just plain laziness? Which honestly didn't bother me too much, because at least I knew it would be done right. So consequently I have been spending upwards of two hours doing the logistics stuff every day, and trying to keep up with my own work. Last night at 6:15pm, the VPN went down, so I had to stop working. Which wasn't a bad thing tbh, because otherwise I would have been working until 8pm - ain't nobody wanna do that on a Friday night! Dinner was the rest of the fried rice that DSO bought the other day.

So consequently I have been spending upwards of two hours doing the logistics stuff every day, and trying to keep up with my own work. Does your boss know? Yes she knows, and she's not thrilled that it ended up in my lap. But she understands that if I didn't do the extra work, things would go to shit, and it would adversely affect our customers, and the rest of our team.
