In the middle of the night, I woke up and started thinking about them. We're leaving on a long trip (7 flights) this week and I decided I need them. Nothing like waiting until the last minute, right?
I never bought some because I tried a pair on and they felt so heavy on my head.
I see they do have lighter weight ones.
I'm guessing I want wireless. How do I hook up to the plane's entertainment system?
Do you have a pair that is fairly light weight that you love. I don't want to pay hundreds of dollars for them. Is that doable?
TIA!
UPDATE: I ended up buying a pair of Sony headphones. They were the most comfortable and the part that covers your ear is large enough to not touch the ear. It also has a cord to plug into Bluetooth if the plane is so equipped.

I have both Bose and Sony wireless noise cancelling headphones. Both are over the ear as I have never found any ear pods that are comfortable for me. If sound quality is important, either of those brands are good although I think Sony has a slight edge. Noise cancellation and comfort are the same for me. Both run around $300 last I checked so that might be out of your preferred price range though. Wireless headphones operate via bluetooth and none of the airline systems are compatible with that that I have found. DD travels a lot for business and uses this Bluetooth Wireless Audio Transmitter Adapter in order to connect her air pods to the entertainment system. I rarely use the system for more than the flight tracking map so haven't gotten one yet. Someone here probably can recommend a better or more current adapter.

I have Razer Opus wireless Noise Cancelling headphones that came with case and airport adapter, for about $100. They work great and I wear them for long periods of time to drown out the airplanes that fly over my house. My husband has Bose and very similar.

I read one review that says that can be a problem. I never thought about that.

I wear contacts and glasses with them and don't notice glasses bothersome. My son has glasses and wears his gaming headphones all day and he said glasses do not bother him. Great question!

I bought an AirFly Pro bluetooth adaptor for my recent flights and it worked great. I got it on Amazon. I wear glasses and my headphones (Soundcore) were still very comfortable. I wore them even when I wasn't listening to anything because they really help cut down on the plane noise.

I def. felt less tired upon arrival than I normally do, too! Oh, I wear mine along with my reading glasses.

I don’t think you need a cord for bluetooth, do you? I thought it was wireless. You don't, that's the point of bluetooth. The cord included allows you to plug in to the airplane's plugs for the entertainment system, rather than use the airline provided headphones. Just make sure you have the right plug and/or adapter as some have a single hole plug and others the 2 hole plug. In order to use bluetooth on an airplane currently you need to have a separate adapter like those linked above.

I wore the headphones yesterday for an extended period and realized they aren't going to work for me. They pushed my glasses down just enough that made the bifocal part blurry so I'll be returning them today.

Perhaps a pair of noise cancelling pods would work for you?

Ds had a super cheap pair with multiple size cushion pieces and I can tolerate those. I have no idea where they came from or what kind they are, but there are some out their for those of us with weird ears!

I do have a very cheap pair that I use for the plane entertainment and with our *whispers* while on tour. They aren't wireless or noise-cancelling but at least they work!
