We are remodeling two bathrooms. One will be a complete gut. It is a smaller bathroom with a single sink, toilet and tub. Like to turn it into a walk in shower. I need to tear it all out and start over.
Another bathroom already has a large shower (previous remodel had a tub), toilet and double sink vanity. I really need to upgrade the vanity, wall tile (shower tile is good) and mirrors. It is in the brown/tan family. It has heated floors and I don't want to tear out the floor tile since it isn't awful.
My husband said he didn't care about how they look. We gutted our kitchen two years ago and are using the same contractor. I've taken style quizzes before and end up in the coastal label, but I feel like I prefer a more contemporary chateau look. I made that up. I've never seen it, but I like lighter wood, creams, and oiled bronze/black. Our contractor said he'd come by for a beer and some ideas. I can find the beer. I just am not sure where to start. With the kitchen, we started with countertops and then proceeded from there without any pictures.
Does anyone have any good sites where I can start? I need some concrete inspiration.

When we renovated our bathroom we took it down to the studs. We then insulated the wall real well. We also put in pieces of wood in the wall behind the tile so we could install grab bars in the future. We put the plans for where they are in the medicine cabinet. We purchased the granite countertop with built in sink from Home Depot here in Canada. www.coolknobsandpulls.com a few years ago we ordered matching drawer pulls (I don’t know if they still sell them).

Houzz is a good site for ideas.

I’m deep into planning a complete gut of my kitchen, including tearing down walls and moving another. I have a huge Pinterest board set up. I’ve just been pinning anything that I like and then culling what I want to show a designer from there.

I will second the suggestion of Houzz.
The other thing I would suggest is to get on Pinterest and find pics of bathrooms that you love to settle on a style and color palette you like. Get an idea from your contractor what your space & layout options are (based on studs, plumbing placement, existing pieces you're keeping, etc.), then go from there to zero in on individual pieces. I am a visual person and it helps me to see different styles and furnishings in order to figure out exactly what I want.

I already have Pinterest boards of various room ideas and we are YEARS away from any sort of significant remodel/redo! LOL

We had the kitchen torn out April 17th and a wedding reception on the 30th (outside) and then another wedding in the backyard June 25th. Our kitchen is huge (20' x 20") and the cabinet makers did such a beautiful job. We had them also build us a matching hutch. I had no photos and just started with the cabinets and went from there. I didn't have a single picture to go from and think that one might be easier.

In addition to Houzz and Pinterest, I like to get ideas from catalogs. Some online shops have great ideas, for example Wayfair, the Spruce, and BH&G.

I live in Florida. Today's coastal design is breezy, but not full of palm trees and sea horses. Here's a designer I like: Ally Whalen Design

My suggestions are also Houzz and Pinterest. Build.com is another resource. If you have a kitchen and bath fixtures showroom in your area, you might get some inspiration there too.

I have use Pinterest for ideas and have 2 boards - master bath and guest bath. We will be doing renos of both bathrooms soon.
When we redid our bathrooms in our old house we put in kitchen cabinets. We did have to modify the depth but we love the taller cabinets. I think you can get taller bathroom cabinets now. Definitely something we are doing again.

I'm starting on a medium-ish bathroom reno this weekend. I've started a Pinterest board and have been searching "spa like" and "coastal bathrooms" since that's the vibe I'm drawn too right now.
But wow colors are tricky. I've found a few pins of vanities painted in green tones that I really like but when I go to Sherman Williams to get the paint chip, they are just totally different looking colors. The two colors that keep drawing me in are Evergreen Fog and Retreat. I'm probably just going to randomly pick one and paint the vanity. It's only paint and I can repaint it if I hate it.

We are doing a small bathroom remodel right now - I got input from a designer - they chose something different than what I would have done - but so far it looks very good.

There are five bathrooms in my house and started the consecutive remodel right before Covid. The primary bath was totally gutted and the others partially gutted. Great timing, took over a year. I had toilets, vanities and bathtubs in my living room forever.
I did my own designing and used Houzz, real estate listings and videos tours of model homes for ideas. I kept the majority of them white or very neutral to provide a palette for a lot of alternative towel and decor colors. I did do one with a colored vanity, others have white or dark wood vanities. Bought all the materials and fixtures and the contractors did the installations.
One thing, I am so happy with was my toilet choice. Got the hidden trap and push button flusher style, so easy to clean. Also used large tile on the floors for ease of cleaning.
