I am super early, as I had something come up, but no worries, there is a sketch! I love grids because there are so many different ways you alter them and they are adaptable for all sizes of pages. You can also use scraps, or smaller paper pads. These are excellent for those 6x6 pads that have papers that match a bit. This simple sketch is from Studio Calico, but I've added some links to show some jazzed up grids. Have fun! Here is a link to a page by Alison Davis for a cool circles grid www.allisondavis4sg.com/post/scrapbook-layout-idea-circles-grid-designI love that one and think it could work for a lot of different types of layouts. Here is a process video for a another grid layout from Andrea Sherman (Girl Plus Paper) where she also takes a grid sketch and adapts it. www.youtube.com/watch?v=BSx_cZkxTbUEnjoy!

I like it! I hope I get time over the weekend to play with it.

I love grid sketches! I always find them quite daunting to start with, then they end up being some of my favourite layouts. I already have a couple of ideas for this sketch. I just need to decide whether to use the squares for photos, or for a patterned paper background.

Here is my take on this, kmage (the lefthand page). The grid is there--honest!--just mostly covered up! Border Escape by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

This one has been sitting on my to-do pile for a while - I was struggling a bit on how to use it.
