HouseI love this one. One of the things I would change are the open cabinets in the kitchen. I would also like to do more finishing in the basement.

Oh I love all the woodwork! And I am dying to get my hands on that basement/movie area. That could be so cool! I am with you on the open shelves, They seem out of place. I'd also need to change some of the wallpapers.

I used to be really into Victorian homes. We had a seaport not too far from us that had a lot of Victorians and I always wanted to live there.
It's not to my taste now, but this is a beautiful example of one!

Hmmm, the outside is just weird! Like something a child would make up with all those colours. Inside there's some elegance there but the kitchen is so disjointed. It might be fun to finish off those other rooms though

I love this house, but I agree, the kitchen just doesn't fit in that house anymore.

I mostly love it... there are some changes I would make.. not like the red/black wallpaper at all. But yeah, overall it is great. I feel it does need fine tuning.

I would change out the wall coverings to make it lighter.. like paint or super light wallpaper. and I agree the upper storage in kitchen is weird.

HouseI love this one. One of the things I would change are the open cabinets in the kitchen. I would also like to do more finishing in the basement. Oh my gosh! As I was clicking the link I was thinking "I so rarely like the houses these days." and then I saw the first exterior photo and thought "Whoa---I sure hope they didn't ruin the inside!" Then I saw the National Register sign, which made me more hopeful, and then----holy woodwork, Batman! And not even painted! And that staircase!! And all of the fireplaces! And then, yeah, no one is expecting a kitchen to still look like it was in 1889, and I know kitchens are the most frequently remodeled spaces, so I expected it to look as it does, BUT they did keep the original doors, and even in the kitchen they're still unpainted, so I was impressed with that. Plus, the unit in the one corner looks appropriate to the time, even if it may not be original to this house, which was cool, too. And upstairs was mostly unpainted as well, with bathroom choices that go well in an old house. So overall, I'm amazed and I love that this house has seen gosh knows how many occupants and so, so much of it is still original and in its original state as well. It's more house than I would want, myself, and even if I did want a house that size, I won't lie--I too would prefer more finished space for my laundry, but I love the basement rooms with the exposed brick. I'd like to do something fun in those rooms, but keep them primarily just as they are. Thanks so much for sharing! I loved seeing it.

That home is AMAZING and would be a 2 million dollar home around here!

What a gorgeous home! That woodwork! And I love a big covered front porch. I certainly have no need for 7 bedrooms these days, but I wouldn’t worry about it too much. I’m sure it would be fun finding a use for half of them, like a sewing room, office, craft room, etc. And while I would love to have a bath in that vintage tub, I’m afraid I would struggle with my bad knee getting in and out of it. I would switch out the regular tub in the other bathroom for a walk-in shower. My current home has a regular tub and I really wish it was a large walk-in shower instead. If I ever win the lottery, I would change it. There is a walk-in shower in the other bathroom, but it is small. And odd. So I leave my knee brace on while I step into the tub shower one.
Yeah, those shelves don’t seem at home in this house. I do love that there are two big sinks in the kitchen though. I am also not a fan of the wallpapers, as several peas already mentioned. And that yard would be my first project. It is desperately in need of flowers and maybe a rose garden area.

Beautiful! I would get rid of the open kitchen cabinets and also the black, flowered wallpaper. The little bathroom has a very disjointed sink!

There is one with a very similar exterior in the town north of me. I have not been inside..
The posted one is gorgeous!! Agreed, open shelves, particularly in a kitchen, need to be gone.
