I saved myself a panic attack this morning. 😂
I am slowly converting from over the head sports bras to ones with clasps. Apparently all the clasp ones are in the laundry this morning so I had to wear an over the head one.
As I tried to keep my heart rate down and my fight or flight at bay while trying to peel a sweaty bra off my body I saw my long handled shoe horn hanging in my closet.
It has a hooked bend on the handle end; I threaded that bend down the back of the bra, hooked it on the bottom of my band, and whipped that sucker off with no problem! I’m going to try it again next time I workout, but if this consistently works I can go back to wearing the dozen bras that are taking up space in that drawer!
Just thought I’d pass that along. 😂

Ooooh I’ll have to try that. Thanks for the tip!
Yes, taking off a sweaty sports bra can throw one into a patio, for sure!

I inherited a boot hook from my dad when he passed 10 years ago. That has been my sports bra savior.

Lol, good idea! I don't have one of those, but I solved this problem years ago... I just step in and out of my sports bras. Saves on panic attacks and one's ability to breathe properly.

I mean, some of them fit pretty tight, so I could see it throwing me that far, or me running out there trying to get it off. LOL

I do the same! I told my daughters I do this and they think I’m crazy lol. It’s so much easier! (i’ve had shoulder surgery so I can’t do over the head)

I have sports bras that zip up the front so I dont get stuck! These ALWAYS unzip on me. I’ve even tried the ones with a clasp on top of the zipper. I find that the clasp stays closed but the zipper still goes down.

I thought I was the only one who go uneasy when stuck on a sports bra

And I was thinking of myself.

I find it even more alarming trying to put one on if my body is still damp from the shower. I definitely use my shoe horn then to pull it down at the back. Otherwise the way it rolls up has me hopping around the room in a major claustrophobic panic. 😂

OMG, I had a swimsuit like that and I almost had a panic attack once trying to get it off when it was wet. 😳 I think I ended up pulling it down instead of over my head. It was sooo bad! Key word in this post is HAD. I *HAD* a swimsuit like that, and because of that episode I no longer have it, LOL.

I have found the easiest way for me is to pull one arm out and under the band. Then just pull it over my head.
I have been home alone and trying to get out of one. I was going for the scissors when DH finally showed up.

I was going for the scissors when DH finally showed up. I do that as well. I have had shoulder surgery on on both shoulders in the last 1 1/2 years and sometimes it is tough to take it off the conventional way. I got used to doing this way when I was healing.
