CNN reported about a hotel video showing Diddy throwing, kicking, hitting, and throwing things at the ex who earlier sued him. He had denied and denied it. It is so disturbing. I hope he has consequences beyond what happened to that lady.

It was terrible to see. They’re saying he paid $50k to the hotel to let him have that video and not release it. On the local news, they are saying that the hotel changed owners and that had something with the video being released. I hope the old hotel management gets in some sort of trouble over this.

Just so disturbing. They showed pics of Diddy and the GF on a red carpet the night after he beat her and you can see bruises all over her. I hope he really goes down for this.

Can he be charged if they already settled?? He paid her off... so can he be charged for something else with her???
Also, is it true allegedly that another of his exes was murdered after she tried to press charges??
He is sick and evil...

That was horrible to watch. I hope he gets what he deserves. In my opinion, his payment of $50,000 to hide his despicable behavior should make no difference and the video should never have been hidden to protect him. It should have come out at that time, and I, for one, am glad that it did now. I am so sick of people behaving in disgusting ways and then using their money to cover it up. And we, the public, should not be quick to believe it when the accused pretends that they are only being vilified so that the accuser can get a “payday” out of it. I don’t follow anything he does anyway so I won’t have to stop buying anything or paying any notice to what he does. I just hope those that did support him now see him in a new light showing his entitled and misogynistic behavior. That poor woman.
Oh, and the excuse that he was drunk doesn’t fly with me either. He sure didn’t wobble when running down the hallway or fall over when standing on one foot while preparing to kick the woman with the other.

Who is teaching men to treat women this way, for the love of all that is holy?!? I know I'm old, but men used to mock (or do worse to) other men who would "beat up on a girl."

Watched it yesterday - anyone who has been abused, it can be very triggering. Please be careful watching it.
I hope he rots in hell. It’s horrifying to see.

I watched it and it took my breath away. I remember when he would appear on Ellen, and he always seemed so personable, so fun. Obviously, he is a monster with terrible issues. I am so sad for that beautiful woman who was abused and apparently sex traded too.

I saw the video last night. It was awful to watch. I'm angry that he will not face charges! I hope the rest of his days are miserable!

I never liked this fool mainly because of his weak chin and having no talent. Suge Knight is a piece of shit too but I did enjoy when he called Puffy out for being a producer dancing in everyone else's videos. Wait until they pin Tupac's death on him! (I don't really know about that but...)

I watched it yesterday, after having to click through several warnings, and it was horrifying! I wish that they were able to press charges against him. I know I'm old, but men used to mock (or do worse to) other men who would "beat up on a girl." I was just saying that to DSO after watching the video. Where are all the men condemning this behaviour? Men need to stand up and call it out for what it is - coward behaviour! Any man who assaults a woman is nothing more than a gutless coward.

Men are the rulers of women... Said by what's his name on the 'appropriate' graduation speech. They have been beating women for years.

He will get His
Stuff is starting to come out detailing just what a vile excuse for a human He is . It is very frustrating He & other ' stars' are able to hide behind Their money & not be held accountable for the abuse They inflict on others .

It was a horrific video to watch. Too horrifying to imagine all the things and times that were not captured on video. Why is this just surfacing now? It is terrible that he can't face charges for this because time has passed. If he has murdered her he could face charges. It is crazy to me just because he beat the sh** out of her instead of killing her he won't face legal repercussions.

The most charming, cutest boy at my college used to beat the crap out of his girlfriend. We were all shocked to find out - seriously Mr. Perfect. Once it got out, he was a pariah on campus but it was still very surprising.

God I hate him. And he probably will lay low for awhile and then pop up years later and everyone will have forgot. My fingers are crossed the feds will actually send him to prison for a long time for sex trafficking.

A civil settlement won’t preclude criminal charges, but (I haven’t read up on this case) the statute of limitations for most crimes in most states is three years. He is vile.

Sure he has apologized. He says he is disgusted with himself. And on and on and on.
But he had denied it, and claimed it never happened.. Had the video not been released he would have continued to deny it, as if it never happened..
Denied Denied Denied Oops, video. Oh sorry!
I don't, we don't need his apology. She, her parents and family need the apology.

He went into my biting book when she first accused him, because he has always been a piece of shit in my eyes.
I'm wondering who else will now come forward now that the video has been released. I also wonder if we will hear anything from Jennifer Lopez about him.

Not being from America, I didn't have an opinion on him prior to this, I knew his name, but have never listened to any of his music or paid attention to anything he did.
The video is so disgusting, and the "apology" is a complete joke, me me me, it's always about how they are feeling and never about expressing any accountability around what they did to other people. Who is the "I'm sorry" for? Not the woman in the video as he never mentions her at all. The I'm sorry seems to be for himself and that he got caught on video & now there's proof of what a piece of shit he is. It's that typical bullshit apology from famous people that says "I take responsibility" while at the same time not doing that, and not addressing what is seen in the video and then vague talk about God & being a better man (just like Will Smith).
The second worst part is that there were people who must have known about his behavior and did nothing about it.

One thing bothering me here and in other outlets is the dismissing of "his girlfriend's" identity. Cassie Ventura is an award winning singer, actress, dancer, and model.

i hated seeing that video. she was trying to get away when she thought she had a chance. his anger was so obvious when he chased her, beat her and dragged back while clutching a towel around him. he was not going to wait to let her get away or wait to abuse her in private. what gets me is that he paid $50k to get the tape back later and the hotel let him have it.
at what point will we finally see him arrested? charged? jailed? are there too many other celebs involved? why is nothing happening to him? i know the statute of limitations has passed on this assault but i have no doubt there are other charges waiting to be brought up.

I couldn't stomach watching his "apology" because I was pretty certain it would make me furious and it sounds like it would have. It is absurd that the hotel took the $50K and shut their mouths. Someone involved had to have had sister or daughter that would have trigger their conscious to do the right thing.
I hope he gets what is coming to him but I don't hold out for a lot of hope for it when I consider that Chris Brown is still doing his thing after what he did. Like someone else said, why are the other industry men allowing them to get away with this and continue to work?!?

My daughter and I were having a discussion about man/bear after our legislature passed a law that said students have to use the bathroom for the gender they were born with. (I don't think this is an issue anywhere. Our transgender/non-binary students use the nurse's single stall restroom. Students don't dress for PE.) She said: women aren't afraid of drag queens or transgender people. They are afraid of men. Why isn't that focus of lawmakers?
