DD is trying to buy some more clothes before college and we haven't had luck finding the following.... any brand recommendations would be awesome. She is 5'8 and things tend to run a little short on her.
Athletic shorts - she needs them to be fingertip length for her summer job and she definitely wants pockets.
Sweatpants/pj pants - they just need "a cozy vibe" lol and also pockets.
Jeans - she likes Old Navy but they rarely have her size in stock so we need to try something else. (I can't remember which fit she likes)

DD is 25 and loves to thrift shop. She uses ThreadUp a lot. Old Navy, Loft, J Jill and other have a lot of long fits for pants, shirts, and dresses online. DD is 5’10” and I used to buy online a lot when I was in charge of her clothing procurement. I’d buy online and then return what didn’t fit in-store.

My daughter is 19. Her favorites include gap, aerie, garage, old navy. For work clothes she sometimes gets some things at Ann Taylor With me.

My daughter is 21 and gets most of her clothes from American Eagle. She likes the store enough that she got a job there so she could enjoy their employee discount. She said the main thing they sell is jeans. They generally have an Aerie store next door and that’s a great place to get athletic clothing and comfy items. I think Old Navy is a good place to get inexpensive joggers.

Our local Macy’s has a pretty big Levi section in the teen department. They also have a lot of different brands of jeans.

I like the Tek Gear bermuda length knit shorts from Kohl’s. They are longer length and have front pockets. Midnights by Carole Hochman pajama pants have pockets. I usually buy the sets when I see them at Costco.

Look in the men's area for pj pants with pockets. I discovered these too! They are my lounging in the house pants. And if for some reason, I have to run outside for a minute, or if someone comes to the door, I am dressed enough for neighbor’s eyes. I found some in a thicker black flannel that I love.

For athletic shorts, look at Columbia. I bought them for fly fishing, but I find myself wearing them just because. They are super comfortable and have pockets. Mine are a 5" inseam which might be too short, but they have longer.
For regular clothes, Abercrombie has been doing great lately and they often have tall sizes.

If your DD finds pants she really likes in the store, but they are too short just go online and look for the same pants in a tall. Often times the stores will have a greater selection of talls online. I have a DS with a 36 inseam and we'd often shop online when he was younger.
